Looks as if it's all over at Non park. All players released (one of them has even placed this on facebook)750k debts. Bank accounts have been frozen Could someone shut the light off on the way out . They wont need to switch the lights off, the electricity company will probably have cut them off again by then ;D

This Movember I've decided to donate my face to raising awareness about prostate cancer. My donation and commitment is the growth of a moustache for the entire month of Movember, which I know will generate conversation, controversy and laughter. Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men. One man dies every hour from the disease in the UK. This is a cause that I feel passionately about and I'm asking you to support my efforts by making a donation to The Prostate Cancer Charity. To help Click this link uk.movember.com/donate/your-details/member_id/1137380/ and donate online using your credit card or PayPal account . The Prostate Cancer Charity will use the money raised by Movember for the development of programs related to awareness, public education, advocacy, support of those affected, and research into the prevention, detection, treatment and cure of prostate cancer. For more details on the impact Movember is having please visit uk.movemberfoundation.com/research-and-programs. Thank you in advance for helping me to support men's health. Iestyn Pocock

But they have 2 tables at The Cock The F&F table did not go to the Cock. The Cock already had a table, and the other one belongs to Jim that used to belong to me. So is there still a table at the Frog and Fiddler?

I never realised there was a table at the Romany, a massive place. Don't think it's there any more, but it was a 4 pin table. We went and had a look there before we moved to the C&A and that was a good few years ago!! Also i think the Frog and Fiddler table is the one now at the cock

Iestyn "Off the spot" means every shot is played from the white spot in the D. You cannot play from anywhere in the D. Hope that is clear. That makes sense, but I don't think this would be fair for lesser players as surely better players will have more skill to make the shots and thus giving them the advantage or is that the idea? ;D The summer league was ment to be a bit of fun with everyone having a chance of winning it, but that spirit has seemed to have gone. If anything the advantage needs to be put back in favour of the weaker players so we dont have the same teams winning the summer and winter leagues, The whole point of a handicap system is to make a level playing field but it obvious from this years league the current average system is not working.

How do I get one of my subs in my starting eleven? ??? Go to my team, then press the little yellow box next to the player you want to take out. You can then replace them with a sub by pressing the green box next to your subs. You can also use this to change formation, so you can take a defender out and add a forward or midfielder. You should also be able to see all other teams after the first points have been awarded.

This is devastating news indeed :( Like Nigel, I can speak from experience from owning a team table in a pub and I will post again with some thoughts and ideas which might be helpful. But let's just back up a moment here and examine this "gun at the heads" approach being taken by BBL:£850 + VAT on an "as is" basis is not exactly a bargain basement price, it might be fair on a table that has recently been recovered and is cosmetically good, but is a poor bargain (compared to ebay prices) for any that need recovering or are a little battle scarred. Of course, buying "the devil you know" might seem good and buying the table "in situ" removes the need for transportation. What are Bar Billiards Ltd going to do with 128 tables if the teams/pubs/leagues don't buy them? They certainly won't make that sort of money if they dump them all on ebay in quick succession, and they would have to collect them, store them and refurbish them in order to do that. They have to also understand that if they destroy the leagues, they also destroy much of the private market for the tables - many (if not most) of the tables sold on ebay go into the homes of league players. It seems to me there is considerable scope for negotiation here, both on any deadlines for purchasing decisions and on the price. It is in BBL's interests to have these tables bought by by the teams/players/pubs - and they don't hold all the aces here because there is little they can do that is worse than they have already announced. I was told the price is non-negotiable & i`m afraid they do have a waiting list for buying tables Ros, if we don`t buy them, they will be sold on, either here or abroad. It`s amazing how many get exported, yet there aren`t any leagues outside of the UK, Jersey & Guernsey. How can this price be non-negotiable, By deciding to sell all the tables off in one go has now made this a buyers market, which means the buyer influences the price not the seller. I doubt they have a waiting list of over 100 people wanting tables so will need to sell these tables quickly to release the money they have in them. Also the cost of picking up and storing all these tables will add up so by offloading the tables without the need of picking up and storing will save BBL a lot of time and money. Our table is rented at i think £12 a week, and has been in our pub for about 4 years. So our table has made BBL at least £2496 in rent over its life in the pub. now to add another £1000 to buy it means this table would have effectively cost us £3500. I don't believe that a new table from BBL cost that much What would be the price of a New table from BBL? We need to stick together and force the price of the tables down, don't let BBL bully us and make people panic buy the tables at over the odd prices because by there sudden announcement and only giving us a month to make a decision thats what there doing. I'm sure if they had the prospect of having to collect 128 tables they would soon start panicking themselves. That’s a lot of miles and man-hours.

Think there may be a problem with the 1st Div table, Cock A have managed to play 31 legs in 6 games while us Cobblers have only played 29 legs in 6 games

Can I ask why it is not possible to re-arrange the semi-finals of the second division Indiviuals? Ben and I can not make it to finals night for 5:30 so it looks like we will have to pull out, making the competition pointless as the 2 finalists now will have only played 1 game to get to the final.
The committee seem to be able to bend the rules for other teams/players in order to put another team into the Nene Cup so that competition wasn't pointless and then rearrange the fixtures around one players work rota that technically shouldn’t have been playing as they are registered to another team in Div 1.
We have managed to keep our table in the C&A for next season but I’m thinking now it wasn't worth the effort because the league doesn’t seem to make the effort to encourage people to play the game.

Just spoken to The Charity Bank, As i had a spare 10 mins. They would consider our application; The deal from them would be as follows; Min Loan of 5k Intrest charged at 6.5% Admin fee of £150 Commitee members would need to sign a guarantee against the loan although i dont think are peronaly ressposable (only downside i can see) Application would take 4-6 weeks as it goes in font of the Trustees of the Bank, so we would need to decide pretty quick if we want to go down this route] FUrther details can be found at www.charitybank.org/media/Guide_to_Loan_Finance.pdfSend me a PM if you want any further info
