The board will go advert free for members only during December.
It costs roughly a fiver a month and anyone can contribute.
I've started the ball rolling, so lets have your comments as to whether it's worthwhile and if so, how it's paid for.
We will need to evaluate the number of page hits as I have only purchased the basic package for one month.

The board is now advert free for December only and for members only.
It costs around a fiver a month.
Most will probably not notice much difference until the adverts return.
I will sticky this thread for December and January.

The problem with using a 'No Script' add-on is that it requires some knowledge of which ones to allow and they do slow Firefox down. Sav

Eighteen days into December and we've now used half of the adfree credits purchased for December (7$).

I for one have appreciated the 'no adverts'. I've always thought that Castlemedia and Google ads slow down the response times.
Ads should be for things that we (rather than others) want to advertise ! ;)

New Year's Eve and last day for ad-free.
Comments on whether it's worth financing it further.
