On the basis of "physician, heal thyself", I've had a further dabble...
This is the best way I can find to manipulate the print parameters to get a meaningful transcript of an 'Open' competition in hard copy:
Early Rounds, Main and Plate: 1. Hit Print Preview; 2. Select 'All frames individually'; 3. Print preferences: Portrait; 4. Hit print button. 5. Check that you have all the details of Last 32: Some scores may be missing off the end of the page, so if they are, look them up and add them in manually.
Last Stages, Main and Plate: 1. Hit Print Preview; 2. Select 'All frames individually'; 3. Print preferences: Switch to Landscape; 4. Hit print button; 5. Look up the details of the Final (possibly scores for semi-finals also) and write them in manually.
(Haven't sussed out how to make the County Championships print out nicely yet. :o)

(Haven't sussed out how to make the County Championships print out nicely yet. :o) (Physician Heal Thyself – Part 2 of 2)How to Download a print of the County Championships… ( - if you’re a Noob like me !) 1. Go into the AEBBA website 2. Select Intercounties Open/ /Results 2000-on/ /2008 3. Click on ‘File’ 4. Click on ‘Print Preview’ 5. Click on ‘Print’ 6. Select ‘Options’ 7. Select ‘All Frames Individually’ 8. Select ‘Print All Linked Documents’ 9. Select ‘General’ 10. Select ‘Preferences’ 11. Against “Finishing”, remove the tick for ‘print on both sides’ (Optional) 12. Against “Paper”, select A3 or leave at A4 depending on your preference. 13. Against “Basics”, change to ‘Landscape’ 14. Click on ‘OK’ 15. Select ‘Print’ – and it should churn the whole lot out for you !

Truly excellent work, Nigel.
To see all the World Championship event mapped out so precisely brings it all back to life.
Brilliant stuff, well appreciated.

Great quick work again you two. :)
Just one or two minor points to make;
In the Mixed Pairs their names are Simon Ellam & Mellissa Standbridge.
There are no high breaks down in the Ladies Grand Prix.
I also didn't miss in my group match against Chris, so both of my scores are also high breaks, but maybe they were missed off the result card.
Sorry, just being a little picky.

Hi Keith Only spotted Simon's names was spelt wrong after I had sent it, I will get Sav to change it on the Mixed Pairs. With the breaks I think Dave only put down what he had. I added yours from the semi because I knew you had run that out against me :'(. I am sure there were more breaks of 10k+. With the ladies Grand Prix I only got Pauline's break of 4k, but I am sure Jean had higher breaks (she must have had in the final surely as she scored 20k) If anyone has any further details I will get Sav to add them in.

In the great scheme of things it does not matter but how many points should Martin Cole have got as under 25's runner up?
Just I cannot see him on the Rankings ?
Might be that I left my glasses at work!!! ;)

Apparently we didn't get ranking points for taking part in the under 25s...

Ranking points are now mostly obtained from open competitions that anyone can enter.
Restricted entry, eg u25, O50, o60, GP, do not qualify.
Perhaps Tommo could find the ranking points changes thread, bump it and make it sticky so thatit stays visible.
Me?? If just off on a 130 mile drive to Reading.

I would still go to the under 25's until I am not allowed. It takes a lot of effort to turn up to an event 250 miles round trip for no RP's, I am not complaining as I didn't earn any this year anyways ;D :( The only thing that got to me were the tables. But that comes with experience 8-) soon I'll be playing my true form just need to play more opens and cut the nerves out.
My target next year is top 50 hopefully (fingers crossed) as I will try to enter and turn up to all opens from now. Shame that my insurance is stupid amount (£1200) for a 900cc. :-X :-/

We had some bad luck with a few of the tables at Reading this year. There were tricky ones, but then again, look at table 5 i think it was. Didn't get a chance to play on it but I scored 2 18k+ breaks on it. In general, competition tops are always of a very high standard...but where would the fun be if they were all easy?
