Another coin-operated Supreme (mind your knuckles, folks! ;D) on sale from Carterton (near Witney, West Oxon) www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320983893971#ht_500wt_1288Looks like he's throwing in a cue and a cue case as part of the deal ;) This listing was ended by the seller because the item is no longer available No starting bid of £300 was ever made, but I should imagine a decent offer was made outside of the auction.

Toy table (brand name TW - "Toy Works".) Could also stand for "teeny weeny". ;D www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300783699901#ht_500wt_1288Not sure when exactly this was made but it seems to be as rare as the Sid James one offered recently. You see far more of the 'Joe Davis' ones commissioned by Gamages which measure 2.5' x 1.25'. Went for just £3-20 after 2 bids. (Plus £9 postage)

Comes complete with five red balls and one white!! It looks like a Sams with Supreme adjusters on it so it may not be very tall! ;D Tony

It looks brand new Clive - perhaps they have started making them but no mention on Potblack.com website? Testing the water on Ebay perhaps. Tony

Well he has remained faithful to the original design, but these count as a toy due to the dimensions, and authentic ones in reasonable condition can be picked up for £50 or less.
It seems for the quirkier versions of our game there is plenty of supply but very little demand.

Weird mongrel this one, location Winchester: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bar-billiards-table-/200844484051Maker claimed is SAMS but it has a trademark Jelkes swivelling backboard and legs like I've never seen before - they look telescopic ! Not aesthetically pleasing in the slightest......... Unbelievable interest in this one, 29 bids pushed it up to £601.01. Someone with an untrained eye might think he was bidding for a nice Jelkes, so I hope the winner doesn't regret his purchase..........

Early Supreme-type table, location Ilkeston, Derbys: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bar-Billiard-Table-/261128039916MDF base (not slate) - shame, means it won't play like a normal table. Electronic timer not visible, but believe this to be on the side, with a button press. Later designs went for the pool table type mechanism with the slots for the coins to slide into. Either way they take a bank of size D batteries which of course have a limited life and are a pain to have to replace. Went to a single bid of £200

Modern, (bespoke ?) construction, location Worthing. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bar-Billiards-Table-/181029333561The long D and the configuration of holes suggests a narrow table, but 30s and 10s are marked conventionally. Electronic timer with the sliding coin slot as per pool tables. No mention of whether it has a slate or MDF base - my money is on the latter. * Opening bid request of £500 seems a bit high for this one. :-/ * Vendor has confirmed that it has a slate base. Bidding has ended on this item. No-one prepared to meet the opening bid requested.

This one (location Wakefield, Yorks) looks like an early version of the Supreme: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bar-Billiards-Table-/321029968083Sadly MDF base instead of slate, and no timing or bar mechanism. It's standard width though and the cloth looks nice. Expecting this one to go as aspirations haven't been set too high. Bidding has ended on this item. 14 bids, the highest being £330, but the reserve not met.Back on again with a 'Buy-it-now' of £450.....reckon the reserve is £400 - will be lucky to make that much. :-/ www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bar-Billiards-Table-/321036712942?This time it went for £420 after 22 bids.

Early Supreme table, ex-pub near Preston, Lancs: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/bar-billiards-table-/110999559088I reckon there's a good chance that the pub in question is The Old Original Seven Stars in Leyland, Lancs: unfortunately never got on to our AEBBA map of venues. :'( Went for a paltry £260 after 17 bids. Someone bagged a bargain in the circumstances.
