Here's a weird one, location Bewdley/Kidderminster: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Old-Bar-Billiards-Table-/251381408195Looks like a wooden version of the "fibreglass bathtub" tables which were manufactured in Skegness. I wonder if those legs fold in on themselves ? If so it could be the prototype for the above......either that or custom-made for someone. Electronic timer fitted. Whoever buys this one invests in a bit of obscure bar billiards history. Went for £316-56 after 19 bids.

Modern Supreme table from Farnham, Surrey: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BAR-BILLIARDS-TABLE-FOR-CHRISTMAS-BUY-NOW-/301023015507?pt=UK_SportingGoods_SnookerPool_RL&hash=item46165eb253Vendor has had it a year and is sensible enough to realise the depreciation, but may have underestimated the extent ! One offer made, which I would imagine is around the 500 - 600 pound mark. @ 07/12/13: 8 further offers made, all declined. Bidding ended 21/12/13 with no sale. Offer Price Offer Status Date of Offer £350.00 Expired 19-Dec-13 10:16:47 GMT £450.00 Expired 15-Dec-13 23:23:43 GMT £425.00 Expired 14-Dec-13 19:18:59 GMT £600.00 Declned 30-Nov-13 15:52:24 GMT £100.00 Declned 26-Nov-13 15:30:48 GMT £150.00 Declned 26-Nov-13 15:30:34 GMT £200.00 Declned 26-Nov-13 15:30:12 GMT £551.00 Declned 23-Nov-13 18:21:48 GMT £501.00 Declned 23-Nov-13 18:21:37 GMT £450.00 Declned 23-Nov-13 18:21:19 GMT £700.00 Expired 23-Nov-13 08:07:29 GMT £700.00 Expired 23-Nov-13 08:06:49 GMTVendor has a strange way of doing business: asks for an "opening bid of £600" but this is not a Buy-it-now price. And then rather than allowing an auction to run with table going to the highest bidder, requires to see lower offers, all of which are declined !
Better method surely is the traditional way, "opening bid of £600", open auction, and if they don't want it to go for less, slap a "reserve" of £700 on.

And there's nothing on Ebay under the 'Report Item' that allows you to report an item with deliberately misleading claims in the description.
Suggest others report it under the nearest applicable description.

Sav There doesn't seem any way of reporting a misrepresentative listing!! I have PM'd the seller with this:

and received this reply from the vendor:
and a footnote has been added to the listing.... in small letters

Thanks Sav and Q - a good resolution to the problem. Was considering Sav's injured feelings after all the preparation work on the beautiful set of Jelkes tables used in our National competitions. [edit 27/11/13 this further disclaimer added by the vendor: www.allgamestables.com/supreme-bar-billiard-6ft-slate-bed-table-oak.asp?gclid=CLDj9-ing7sCFUYTwwod8CYAIwThis website states - The Supreme Bar Billiard is the table of choice for many major championship events, where professional players and organisations insist on the best. It is endorsed by the World 8 Ball Federation and The International Professional Pool Players Association.] The problem here is that the Supreme make may well be favoured in Pool circles, and the bar billiards version may well have been mass-produced with a view to capturing the market, but it has fallen short of the mark in many respects as regards quality and has never really caught on. No bids, item relisted 06/12/13: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bar-Billiards-Table-hardly-used-/251396133356?This listing was ended by the seller because the item is no longer available. Presumably a private offer made.

Well done Joiner, yes that's one of the 'fibreglass bathtubs' manufactured in Skegness and aimed at amusement arcades. I had not spotted it as it's in the Snooker and Pool section on eBay rather than the Bar Billiards.
Quite a few of them seem to have been made and this one is in worse than average condition as it has some pocket rings missing.
It went for £113-97 after 2 bids.

Yup it's an R.G. Mitchell fibreflass body 'narrow' table.

Early Supreme with a blue cloth, location Maldon, Essex: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bar-Billiard-Table-/141144437257With a Buy-it-now of £120, must count as a 'giveaway' even if the base turns out to be MDF rather than slate - heck the set of mushrooms are worth £30 by themselves ! Yes, snapped up at the Buy-it-now of £120. Someone bagged a bargain !

.....and this toy table, from Wokingham, is tiny, only 3' x 1.5' www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TABLE-TOP-BAR-BILLIARD-TABLE-/261371486617Great craftmanship, absolutely wasted as there are not even the requisite number of holes ! (7 instead of 9). Would be ideal to buy and make into a trophy ! Went for £21 after 3 bids.
