Evening All, I have heard that some people in the UK are panicking because they are unable to get hold of the entrance forms for the World Championship Doubles and Singles competitions. I have mentioned on a previous thread that they are available via our website: www.jbbl.demon.co.ukIf people ask how to get them, either direct them to the site or by all means, ask them to E-mail me and I shall forward them some on. (slebeuvant@yahoo.co.uk) Lets all get together and make this the best competition yet!Sean

I think everyone on this forum knows where to find the entry forms Sean, but it is all those others who do not that I am concerned about. But you have said privately that they are being sent out direct to the usual suspects, so hopefully that will be enough.

Agree with my ex again!! ;D
Those people who are not on-line cannot email either!! :o
The normal chain on entry forms for AEBBA is to send them to County Secretaries, who forward them onto their league secretaries. This is a backup to the on-line method.
Yes there is criticism that people who do not have P.C.'s are at a disadvantage.
Chris.

Hi to Everyone,
Apologies to all those out there who are unable to read this, and therefore do not have entry forms for the World Championship.
Unfortunately the file of addresses that Nigel Bisson passed onto to me was empty, and I have been chasing him to get the correct file as I have an introductory letter and forms sitting in envelopes just waiting to go out. Spoke with Nigel again today and he is on the case.
If for some reason he is unable to furnish me with the addresses in the next couple of days, then I am going to have to ask someone out there for some help, but rest assured we have not forgotten you and the forms will be on their way ASAP.
Again apologies for the delay
Graeme JBBL President

Graeme Lemon(nier), there are about 60 people still to receive their BBQ. If you wish it, I could print off some copies and send them out with those. Doubling up the work would be better than losing anyone who is sitting there waiting to enter.
Let me know by teatime today if possible.......

Peter,
Great idea, many thanks for your offer of sending out some entry forms with the BBQ, so if you could do that I would be most grateful.
Will need to liaise with you after as to who still needs to be contacted, but we can do that outside of the forum.
Thanks Graeme

The county championships are this Sunday, so could someone print out a load of forms and have them on the top table this Sunday as i presume the majority of those players will be going to the World Champs ?

I am taking some.
But most "decent" county players take the BBQ anyway!!!!

I take the BBQ - and I'm not either a decent or a county player!!

Elsie, Elsie. why are you so self-deprecating? My comment was just to say that if they are decent county players, they will take the BBQ, (if they are sensible), and they will therefore receive an entry form with their copy of the BBQ. Unless I had already given them their BBQ previously, in which case they wouldn't.
So that's all sorted out then!
Elsie, you need a course on Positivity, or are you just positive that you cannot play very well?

I plan to start a campaign when I am in Jersey to get into a team. Will you sign the petition?!!

I see, Elsie, now trying to get into a Jersey team. ;D ;D ;D Desperate times call for desperate remedies. Do you have your own private jet ? Only living in Lincolnshire you'll need one for the home games. ;D

I will translate Kentspeak into normal English:
For "intercounties", please read "County Championships"
Seriously, I have tried to circulate them on both of the last two Sundays, but it needs announcing on the microphone also. I have plenty printed so do not go to any further trouble.

Pete, no WC form with my BBQ, don't you want want us Guern's in Jersey this year :'( I had already posted a few BBQs off during the week, especially to the Channel Islanders, believing that your league hierarchy would be circulating the entry forms anyway. As you obviously have a computer, I believed you would be taken care of.

You deserve another ASSBO for that. Have I spelt that right? I'll bet you used carbon paper when you did 100 lines at school. But I was only trying to hysterically illustrate the stunning similarity between the words "petition" and "petticoat" but it didn't really work after it left my brain. It was wonderful before that!!!!

Hi all,
2 days after Pete kindly agreed to put WC forms in with the BBQ, I received a copy of the missing addresses and forms were sent to out to all those on the list (about 60) so they should have received them long ago.
BC forms sent to R. Le Moignan, have sent you a private message also.
Entries for the main comp do seem low, but as this is the first year that I am receiving them, unsure if there is usually a late influx, will speak with Nigel.
Still about 10 places in the pairs for anyone who is thinking about entering.
See you all in 5 weeks time. Oh my god five weeks!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Don't Panic.
Graeme JBBL President and World Champion (for another five weeks, but who Knows ;) ;) ;))
