With the new summer league now under way here a couple of results.
Darren Ogier 3 Bob Le Moignan 0
Darren Ogier was put in first by Bob and after scoring just over 2500. Stuck on an awkward ball.
Bob then managed to score a few points before Darren got back to the table and score a 5000 break. Game 1 Darren 7940, Bob 1240 In the second Game Bob broke off and but only managed around 500. Darren Managed a 3000 break before sticking. Bob allowed Darren straight back to the table where he notched up a 7,350 break. Game 2 Darren 10,350 Bob 1240.
Ian Champion 2 Gary Naftel 1
Stable mate buddies and Guernsey no1 and 2 ranked players met on the Rangers Club Table. Gary had the opening break a knew he was under pressure to score big. He though missed early allowing champ the chance of a win against the break. Champ failed to capitalize allowing to get to the table and put in a 5,500 break and took the first game.
In Game 2 champ started off with a 7,000 break to take the lead. With the Game in the balance for aggregate score both players could not manage to get the break they desired. However just before the end champ took the bragging rights
Game1 champ Gary 1710 6290 Game 2 8540 1720

Shame you didn't want any outsiders in it to rock the apple cart!

I now know why I did not enter the Guernsey summer league ???. Went to La Fontaine last evening to watch the footy and knowing the bar billiards table was in action also, thought there might be a few guys up for a few beers and a good night ;D
Would you Adam and Eve it :o FIVE players drinking soft drinks and the strongest brew being consumed was a very watered down blackcurrant and water. Can't be mixing with all these non drinkers ::) It would ruin my reputation :D It was not until Tom Oliver appeared at 10.30pm that another bar billiards player ordered an alcoholic drink other than myself. No wonder landlord Colin de Jersey is falling on hard times. Bring on the Fanta Five as a new team for next season ;)

Norm
If your team were to become the true Fanta 5 you may be able to give the breakaways a real run for their money.
The League is getting boring. Stay off the beer and give us a real battle.
Sorry Andy the apples needed stabilizing
