I have been missed out the draw Champs rang me this morning and told me that any "late entries" received would be fitted in to the bye slots..... on a "lucky draw" basis, rather than just going down the draw in order. ;) So, presumably your opponent could be Tommo or Margo (how did they both manage to wangle that? :o), Terry Girard, Ken Malorey, Davey Richardson, new Guernsey number 1 Gary Naftel...... or Trevor, of course. ::) ;D

I'm sure that they will make sure that there is a place in the competition. 8-)

To clear up a couple of things.
The GBBA are not taking the proboaords as official from a Mama Hall point of view the Guernsey secretary has not recieved an entry form for you.
Lewistratz i don't know how you let the GBBA know that you were no longer entering, If i assume it was through the Pro boards this will be the reason you were in the draw. The GBBA secreatary does not use these boards and any changes would require a direct contact with himself.
I hope this clears up some of the confusion. If you have any further queries please let me know and i will try and get some answers.

So where does that leave Lorraine Hall then, Oge ?
Could you enter Lorraine Hall please form and money in post (from list given on GUERNSEY OPEN 2010 ENTRIES CONFIRMED thread last updated 17/04/2010)Despite what you say about ProBoards, most of us have taken Champs at his word that he has a part in running this: you have gained your response from the Mainland as a direct result of advertising your competition on this Forum. :o

I have been informed that Lorraine will be in the draw and her name will be pulled out of a hat to fill one of the Bye.
I will also double check with Matt but he says no chq has been recieved yet.
I will also check with Champs so we don't get any further confusion of entries.

Suggest trying sending a pm to GBBA committee members Champs. Oge or Pacman who log onto Forum. If I hear anything soon I will let you know. I am sure they are very busy sorting things out for the weekend. At least 16 of us locals will be at venue Friday evening playing Guernsey Masters. And PS - Yes - Guernsey did loose to Jersey in the team finals, Inter Insular and Channel Island Individual Final last weekend. Lack of match report interesting........ I agree.

When is Loraine Hall's name going to be pulled out of the hat? Is it going to be on the day of the Open?
As she is one of the top lady players it may make a difference to the tipsters selections. ::)
Maybe Loraine would like to know who she is playing before the day, as well. :P
Keith
PS I see that Lewis is still down to play in the draw, so shouldn't that be a bye position?

Good points, Milko.
And regarding those drawn at 10am with 'Byes', I suppose they had better show up - in case Lorraine is drawn against one of them. :-/

Hi Guys and Girls
I have spoken to Tom about doing the draw tonight. However we have not yet had the confirmed extras from our Secretary. Matt is not able to be contacted tonight so we will arrange for this to be done as soon as he can confirm the extra entries have been recieved.

You can add MR H + 2 others from his league to that list also. He got a good deal on boat + car I believe, however will not be able to take it to Herm Island for a day trip if the weather suits on Saturday.
