Looks like a marathon on the cards tonight, three double games in a row. Better go to work and get some rest ::) ;D[/quote]
Match at Rangers Football club might be subject to late inspection due to waterlogged pitch.
Marathon ? You used to be able to manage more than six in one night when you were younger Bob ! Will have to take advantage of your tiredness in the second game and see if I can keep up my 3-0 winning streak........

Hi Norman
Must be getting old only managed 5 last night ;D still 8 point out of 9 is better than expected considering the opposition.
See you next week for the final night of the summer league.

Well what a good week for BOB C. He now sits top with 1 week to go. With Bob on 25 points, Tom on 24 and Champ on 22. All 3 are scheduled to play at the La Fontaine this will be the place to be.
If there is a tie for points for either first or second, a play off on the night will be needed.
my prediction is Bob to win 2-1 against Mark Tom to Lose 2-1 against Robert Champ to beat Luke 3 - 0
That should keep the league the standings as they are

Well done Bob - Dick Turpin would have been proud of you, especially in your wins against Jim Holland. (I suppose you were going easy on him ?). Good job you practised the 200 shot !!! Beers are on you next week if you win the league by the way.

Summer league Final Report
Leading into the final week of the season Bob Chapple held the advantage. Bob with a one point lead over Tom Oliver. On Paper Bob was the favourite as he had Mark Burns to play while Tom had Bob son Robert. Bob was to play first at the fontaine and just needed a 3-0 to secure the lead. Mark put him under pressure however Bob Scored 5,090 to Mark 3,690. This was also against the break. Bob was obviously feeling the pressure and was unable to put any sort of decent break together. Mark though was determined to influence the outcome of the league. Mark hit back with 3,450 to Bob 1,850. This giving Mark a great 2-1 victory.
Tom now 2 points behind and to Play Robert. Tom won the toss and elected to take the first break to Robert surprise. Tom though took the first game comfortable with 5,840. With Robert only managing 440 this gave him a lot to do he was going to help his Dad take the title. Robert started off with just over 2 thousand, this appeared not to be enough though. The game was scrappy for a while and it seemed a playoff was on the cards as Tom was unable to get a break going. Near the end though Tom got the break and settled nicely. He eventually ended up with 5,250 with Robert having 3,410. Tom the 3 – 0 victor and new Summer League Champion.

Don't think Bob C will buy me a drink next time we meet! Tom might though?? ::) Welcome to the forum Scorch. Shame you are leaving Guernsey and the Breakaways when you are just learning how to nick a few legs off the better players. Bet you won't miss the club in the winter though especialy when the fire escape doors are open. Lets hope your new venue is warmer and they serve a better pint than the club ! Did you here about Andy the day after we were last up there ? He was on the bitter.
