This one's altogether a better prospect: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170696373768It's a hybrid, with a Padmores top stuck on to a SAMS base - but the marriage seems to work, and everything including the cloth seems to be in good condition. Recommended by tommo for the Norwich Bar Billiards League. ;) Went for £671 after 29 bids.

That would actually be a very good buy, Carl, for Norwich - if you can pick it up at a reasonable price, of course. Bidding seems to have started low - so if you like it suggest you play it really cool and show no interest until right near the end of the auction. Then slap a bid in of £500 (its worth) and you might even strike lucky and land it for a couple of hundred less. Looks like a SAMs of standard (not narrow) width although the (very nice) scoreboard says E.A.Clare. The wood looks marvellous and the pockets look good. The tear in the cloth by the D means you'll probably need a re-cloth, advisable as it's faded anyway. No other apparent minuses, though worth asking the question on eBay on the soundness of the slate and of the legs. Went for £450 after 18 bids. Reckon someone got a bargain here.

Table is a nice solid lookng standard Sams but you would have to budget for new cushion runners in the recover (assuming the slate is OK) Sav

One here being sold from Norwich: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=190580417568Narrow SAMS (4-Pin config.) in excellent condition. Absolutely ideal for the Norwich League. Went for £610 after 12 bids. I believe there is a bidding war going on with the pubs in Norwich on the one close to us. We shall see :-) Hopefully soon to be installed in a Norwich pub, and to have league play enjoyed on it. 8-)

Another one to make Norwich League prick their ears up: cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320771130563A "Narrow SAMS" so won't attract any interest from most of us (3-Pinners). £850 for a "Buy-it-Now" does not seem too unreasonable for a brand-new refurbishment, especially as twice that amount is being asked by specialist firms. Went for £765 after 25 bids.

Not sure if this SAMS table is 'Narrow' or not, but either way it's ideal for the Norwich cause: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260870123996I'd snap it up at the "Buy-It-Now" (£450) bargain price: Aisby (Lincs) near Grantham not too far away, and you're not going to get much better for the money. :-/ Went for the "Buy-it-now" price of £450

It's a narrow, though unusually the slate does not go all the way to the front.
The Buy It Now will disappear as soon as someone makes a bid, so grab it if anyone wants a narrow table Sav £ £ £

Can't tell if it's standard or 'Narrow' - if Sav reckons it's narrow I'll transfer it to the other thread. I'd guess at narrow as fifties look a long way past 200 hole, though not certain. Another where they could not even brush the dust off and its had a poorly applied stain varnish job. Sav

Jeffreys Brothers table from Ossett, Essex: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300636447082Dimensions listed make it a narrow one. Interesting internal workings - no visible channels, presumably the balls drop straight down on to some sort of soundproofed material. :-/ Went for £720 after 14 bids.

Less than 5 hours to go. Only one picture and a general lack of information about the table make it not surprising no-one has yet met the requested opening bid of £650. :-/
