Good programme this one - where comedians pick their best and worst tele programmes, just watched Lee Mack choose Indoor League as part of his TV Heaven. Showed a bit of bar billiards footage from the programme (not much), one bit was bar billiards being played on a yellowy/beige cloth :o.
Catch it on Channel 4 on Demand if you missed it

This is repeated tonight at 11.25pm on Channel 4.
Worth a watch as it is a funny programme and you will see a quick flash of bar billards.

I have just sat and watched a program i taped from last Sunday, 'Rock and Chips' a fools and horses prequel. There was a BB table in the Nags head pub, looked like a jelkes to me, one shot was seen being played (poorly ::)) Questions are, who supplied the table, can we get one put in the Queen Vic as well? 8-) Looks like there may be more episodes so we may see it again :D

You'll have noticed that the table on "Rock and Chips' was situated right up against a wall rendering all shots that require a player to play to the right of the right hand white peg virtually impossible.
Could I have written that any worse?

Nice spot, folks, and you can watch the whole episode here: www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00qgrc7The shot of the table (a Jelkes, as Ian said) is very early into the film, at about 2 and a half minutes. Sadly, I think Rock and Chips was only a one-off 90-minute special, giving the story of Freddie the Frog(man) and how Rodders grew up looking nothing like his brother Delboy. Thoroughly enjoyable, particularly as you get a great selection of background music from that era (the late fifties) as well as other nostalgia.

It had very nice legs as I recall. Oh no, that was the female lead! Sorry!

Not on the tele yet, but I am currently involved in a feature film that is being filmed in the next few months in Norwich, there are going to be a few pub scenes and as I am producing the film I will be making sure there are quite a few close up shots of the tables to try and promote our beautiful game as much as I can!!! Watch this space, I'll keep you posted... ;)

Great stuff, Carl, especially if the programme goes out nationally and not just locally - in which case you'll hopefully be able to post a clip.

Depending on what distribution we get all depends on where its shown, but it will be national at least.
As soon as I get the clips sorted Ill post on here and everywhere else I can! Its all good promotion for the film!
Just to add, its a feature film that will be going out on DVD not the tele...just yet anyway
