My great uncle Mark Wildman, went to Spain and has found a game called 3 cushion Billiards. The rules are fairly basic I assume. You must strike the cue ball off of 3 cushions into the object ball.
This game requires a lot of skill then!!
Does anybody else here know of this game played in Spain?

As an addition to this thread, here is a you-tube clip of Carom being played:
You certainly have to know the angles !

Thanks Clive - Mr Chris really loved watching that :) :) :)
My worry now though is that he will try 3 cushions in all Bar Billiards games - he is bad enough using 2 when it is a straight shot :o ::) :-X :-/ :'( OMG

Yeah, the bad news is that, although it's all the rage on the continent (Spain, France, Belgium, Holland and Germany), there doesn't seem to be much call for it in the UK.......but then maybe we're the lucky ones as we have competition bar billiards and they don't !
Another interesting one is "Artistic Billiards", where points are scored for setting up and executing trick shots of varying degrees of difficulty. There are load of examples of this type of thing on YouTube - under Pool trick shots. Here's a taste:

Great video Clive
I can see Mr Chris perfecting a ball swirling up and round a white peg back into the 200 without touching a cushion. , I can see me in trying to get it done, ripping the cloth :o don't think Sav would even want me to practice a shot like that on the newly covered tables.
I was thinking though which bar billiard gent might one use to jump a ball over the body?? Won't go there, as no matter what I say, I will end up in trouble :-X ;D ;D

Buy Mr Chris a trick (weighted) ball for his next birthday and he'd be kept happy for hours ! ;) I was thinking though which bar billiard gent might one use to jump a ball over the body?? Won't go there, as no matter what I say, I will end up in trouble :-X ;D ;D Instead of the wastepaper bins used in the clip, how about a line of milk churns? ;D ;D
