Hi Hastings BB Fans
Open Doubles
Colin Southouse & Stewart Chant lost 2-0 to Dennis Cole and Tony Gates
No one played to their potential on a good top but the home players made the most of their home table
good luck in the semis

singles open result:
Mike Daw 2:1 Bob Osbourne
A bit of a roller coaster match which could have gone either way. Bob thrashed me in the first leg after I'd failed from the break off. Bob then had the break in the second leg and miss cued very early on to gift me the break off, again I failed to capitilise. Eventually I got the break back and battled away to give myself a decent enough lead to win the leg. The final leg saw myself and Bob struggling to make the most of our opportunities and eventually I was lucky enough to be ahead when the bar finally dropped. Must say I'm very relieved to have won this match given the opportunities Bob had, as normally he would have punished me for the amount of mistakes I made.

I finally have my laptop back!!
Open Singles First Round
Mick Caister 0 Sandy Harmer 2 4200...........4220 2020...........2770
Just got a 1000 break at the end of the first game cleaning up just won with putting the break down three times at the end.
Second game I went on with 3k and pegged it, after that we couldn't do anything...was 700 down with minutes left and managed to get the break back and get a nice 1400 break to snatch the win....very lucky in the first and a bit in the second after pegging but that's Bar Billiards!
Colin could you pm me Rez's number as I have to play him in the next round asap.

Hi Hasting BB fans
Colin Southouse beat Dave Smith 2-1 on a tricky plough table last night thanks for the support from Bob, Phil and Stewart (who attempted a quick fix prior to our match)
and thanks to Dave who graciously allowed us to replay the game a week late after i had forgotten the previous weeks arrangement even with a reminder from Ozzie senior 2 days before, just think what I'll be like in 20 years time :-*

Well done Roy harmer after beating me 2.1 last night to progress to the final of the open.
Roy played very consistently knocking in some good breaks at the right time in the match to leave me stranded trying to chase down his score before the bar went in both legs 1 and 3.
A deserved victory.

You were unlucky Mike, no one deserved to lose that game, two very good players trying their hardest...the overall winner was bar billiards..I thoroughly enjoyed the evening, three great games of bb and a good social time at the end of the night. Well I'm afraid I couldn't make it a father and son final after Colin Southouse beat me 2-0 last night. A thoroughly deserved victory played far better than I did, I never got going enough to push Colin at any stage. Good luck in the final Colin.....lets hope not too much luck though, don't want the old man yelling in my ear ;D and cheers for the drink.

Hi SandyH, Luckily for me i had the run of the balls on an Ash table that was a bit tricky off break, thanks to the ol Harmster for scoring and will look forward to a good challenge on Ozzie Seniors table, Its a shame that Tarratts were unable to support Hastings' Finals Night this year but we will try again next year. ;) Nice to see the support from all the Ash B team regs cs
