'Pimped' Riley with a red cloth, location Aberdare, Wales: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Riley-Bar-billiards-table-/181135089854There's another red cloth one on the previous page which didn't sell. I rather suspect this one is from a dealer, the Riley plaque on the front is a modern one, which rather detracts from its authenticity. Second opinion from Sav ? Went for £514 after 14 bids.

Second opinion from Sav ? Just 20 mins left on this one and this is what Sav had to say about it: If you are looking at the burgundy coloured Riley currently on Ebay then my advice is don't touch it. Looking closely at it, the holes just do not look correctly positioned to me the fifties are too far up (like a narrow Sams) and more noticeably the top holes look too close to the top cushion. There does not appear room for a ball to pass behind them as one should. It just does not appear right, others may comment. Sav.

Average condition Riley, location Hedon (close to Hull): www.ebay.co.uk/itm/bar-billiards-table-/300927558382Vendor doesn't seem to be expecting the earth for it ! Bidding has ended on this item. 7 bids were made, the highest £206.22 - but the reserve was not met.

Riley design table, location Melton Mowbray, Leics: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BAR-BILLIARDS-TABLE-SLATE-BED-/350834177845To quote vendor: "Slate Bed Bar Billiards Table made by Cadmans Automatic Co with coin operated timer (at present disabled) Includes 10 x old 10p coins if you want to use the timer. I bought it 4 years ago and it had just been refurbished by R & B Livesey of Stockport"So, the usual caveats from Sav no doubt about professional refurbishers. Tommo reckons Cadmans would have been a coin operator commissioning the table - and adding their nameplate - rather than being the actual maker. Went to a single bid of £380. Bargain !

Looks like an old Riley here from Stoke-on-Trent: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bar-Billiards-Table-/111140319501"The mechanism works but the interior has been DIY modified" - hmmm! wonder what that means ? Only two mushrooms supplied - knock thirty off the price for that as they don't come cheap....... Went for just £112-01 after 16 bids - must be the bargain of the century as the timer's worth that alone. Now more pictures have been put up, the bar looks a bit wonky, but someone with basic carpentry skills should be able to correct it if it is a problem. Also it's amazing how easy it is to replenish tired looking timber by applying a layer of varnish..........

Here's a good one, located in Erith, Kent: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/bar-billiards-/231065444571Sixpenny slot; has been used for 4-Pin and has an interesting style of mushrooms.......they look as if they're made out of icing sugar ! Went for £460 after 3 bids.

A very decent Riley table being sold from Holmbury St Mary, near Dorking: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bar-Billiard-Table-/380743601375Reckon there's a good chance this is the one at Holmbury Farm which offers holiday accommodation and which is on our AEBBA map. Probably hardly ever got played. Went for just £250 after 4 bids. Someone bagged a bargain here !

Authentic Riley here from Wisborough Green, near Billingshurst, Sussex: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/E-J-Riley-Bar-Billiards-Table-/131083445385Ex-pub table, originally from the Sir Roger Tichbourne pub (Loxwood).....although never in the league I have actually played on this table ! Obviously in need of refurbishment, but everything original....... Check out that Riley scoreboard, identical to one on one of the tables at Guernsey Open: 1,000s underneath, a challenge to the unwary scorer !! This listing was ended by the seller because the item is no longer available.Ooh! Went the same day - Looks like a private offer was made !

Unusual looking skittles, do you think the "bump" matches the centre height of the ball?

Probably lumps of chewing gum moulded on - makes 'em more difficult to topple ! No baulk-line markings or spots added yet - and a D would be nice !

A couple came down from Yorkshire knocking on our door insistent that this was the table for them @ £700 notes, hence the de-listing on ebay! :) We have 2 more Sams going up today so keep an eye out on those, they are really really nice, fully re-clothed. Ex comp tables again. Between this forum and us we're looking £700 each for them, they are worth every penny and although we may have got lucky with the last one that went for £1k, we see them going for well over £750/800.
