£185 already, no legs and three day to go? must be the silly season again. Sav Thinking about it, it may be a good, cheap buy for the AEBBA as a spare body if one gets damaged again? cheers Tony

Slate and clock would be useful but it almost certainly has the wrong leg threads for the AEBBA tables.
And no he doesn't have the legs, he is also being inundated with questions!!
I'm still amazed at the interest!

Legs have been found today and they are the round type. Sav With the obvious liability removed, this turns it into an extremely saleable item. But with only 20 minutes left, not enough time left for the vendor to herald this. The existence of legs will presumably be a welcome surprise 'freebie' for the winner. Reckon it will go for around £600 - but could have been more!

Eventually went for £510, up £100 in the last 15 minutes. A new bidder came in right at the end to steal it.

Refurbished post-war Jelkes in pristine condition. Location: Dorchester. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180792066040Scoreboard in place of the usual hinged backboard, could slightly detract from the value, but a favoured action by some refurbishers. This listing was ended by the seller because the item is no longer available No bids were registered, maybe a private deal was struck. :-/

Look closer Grasshopper, guess its had a battering at some point, home made ball return, score marker bar missing, octagonal legs on an early table is also unusual and it has the lippy light coloured pocket cups. I'd certainly want a photo of the slate on this one Sav

I think it's got its legs, just a poor photograph. I've asked the seller but no reply forthcoming. Apart from that, unaduterated, quality light oak tables are my favourite as I think they look glorious. The lack of response from the seller indicates a prodeed with caution. Sav

The lack of response from the seller indicates a prodeed with caution. Chris, you must have got him at a bad time, he emailed me within 3 hours, apologizing for not sending pictures quicker.. here are the legs (he claims he hasn't ever unscrewed them). But they are these 'octogan' legs you say are rare/to avoid?

But they are these 'octogan' legs you say are rare/to avoid? Heard from him with an apology late last night. The message had been 'Stuck' in his outbox for a couple of days. No problem with legs, the light oaks normally have octagonal legs and nine slots in the ball return from what I've seen. I've one sitting in my snooker room! One to consider for sure as it will have the more modern thread in the legs and makes them interchangeable with the mahogany ones. I shall be watching the price as well. Sav

Absolutely superb pre-war Jelkes here, location Solihull: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260931688891#ht_994wt_1187Legs are not shown, however, and as with all Jelkes, confirmation would be needed that they are a good fit with undamaged threads. :-/ But beautiful light oak, Bar Billiards Ltd maintenance stickers, and picture showing a perfect slate are all excellent attributes. 8-) Went for £935 (see below)

However the support bar across the front of the underside of the slate is not original and I am suspicious of the irregular line through the right hand side of the 8 in the slate number, could be cracked. I've emailed the seller for further pictures Sav

I went for it but a two day journey so an overnight stay and over £100 in fuel alone my max bid to encourage me to go was £450 so just failed.
Looked nice.

It's not in quite such good condition as the Ebay shots suggested, but it's not a bad table and should command a decent price. Sav

Champignons, yummy ! :P
Actually it's an acceptable Jelkes, rather dirty but would scrub up nicely with some Sav TLC. Wifey will allow me a 'pass out' if you're serious. ;)

You're not kidding, already up to £750 with 4 serious bidders and 9 hours to go. Could reach four figures..... Went for £935 after 33 bids. Three new bidders entered auction in the last 3 minutes.

Re the Light oak table, top bidder has no feedback so may not be over yet.
Re the Frog one, shame it's next to Le Mans, it's just too far for one day, might make them a silly offer and see.

One from East Grinstead that looks like it's been through the mill a bit: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270896187542Pre-war Jelkes, swing backboard replaced with a built-in scoreboard. And do I detect an electronic timer ? Hubble and Freeman refurbishment. The D seems to have taken a bit of a battering. Prospective buyer would have to be assured of a sound slate and non-wobbly legs ! Auction ended, no-one willing to meet the starting bid of £500. Back on now with a different listing and a Buy-it-Now price of £560: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270903225115Snapped up at the Buy-it-Now price of £560.I reckon that's quite a skilful bit of trading.

Nice table at a good price and open to offers!!. Could be one for Enzo
I'm not quite so enthusiastic for AEBBA use as the early oak ones tend to be a bit more fragile when being moved around amd the legs are not interchangeable with the newer ones.
