mid sussex has once again decided to just have millhouse there feature on the headline so much for it being the top fixture each week so i guess someone will have to knock the zeds off top spot Yeah, I know Bob, we have the same problem in the Horsham with Roffey B grabbing all the newspaper headlines. ::) Time they were knocked off the top. ;D

Agreed, and they publish whatever they get from Roy and Ian verbatim, so full credit to those guys. 8-)

A nice write up and picture of Ricky.... well spotted Bob and thanks Tommo for putting up the link. 8-) I'm not sure what area of "West Sussex" the County Times covers..... but maybe they are planning on doing a series of write-ups about the other 6 players who play in Worthing League who also got named in the England squad over the next few weeks.... ::) Congratulations to them all on their selections.... ;D

Hi Dave,
The West Sussex County Times is a long-established newspaper and covers the Horsham District (= Horsham and surrounding villages).
We have enjoyed regular bar billiards coverage for more than 40 years - but for the Horsham and Billingshurst Leagues only, never for Worthing, Littlehampton or Chichester.
Accepted that in this context, "West Sussex" is a misnomer, as since 1973 West Sussex has been a whole county in its own right. But then again we have a "West Sussex League" which also transcends the boundaries of definition.
Which begs the question: who submitted the writeup? I don't think for one minute it was Ian, who provides the regular feed, and it certainly wasn't me as I'd have considered you worthy of mention as a Horsham League player for the Mill House.

I think you will find it would be Dick as he regulary sends in info on Ricky's exploits. It wouldn't have been the WSCT.

Yes, I think you're right there, Ian. WSCT have him billed as a local hero, and follow his progress.
