Cock inn 1 - 4 CKRBL
Jan v Peter Close game all the way through till the end with peter taking the win
0-1
Bob v Derrick Close game to start, Derrick started a break of 2.5k but missed a ball behind 30 pocket..game ended fairly close but derrick took the win
0-2
Lex v Ted another close game but ted stayed strong and pulled out into the lead to win the game

Ben v Dave stuffed the break by playing too soft, Dave took the lead but a couple of breaks sealed the deal for me with a final score of 3770 to win the game and highest score of the night
1-3
Jen and Huw (should get a room for the number of times they have played with each other) Jen played a steady game and huw had a black peg but still kept it close but Jen stayed strong for the win

Laughing Fish 2 Bridge 3
The clash of the top two produced some very good games tonight....
Ron Sheridan 2,680 - 12,520* Kevin Hall Kev off fairly early but Ron had a ball whip out of the 50 hole and Kev was first to get the balls back and run in a good break of 8520, Ron played the rest of the time out. 0-1
Dave Ingram 12,570* - 2,080 Marcus Chipman I broke down on 3k after missing a 50/20 split at the back of the table and Marcus got the balls back straight away to knock in 2k before coming off... giving me the chance to play the rest of the table out. 1-1
Bill Kerr 2,940 - 6,210* Brian Muggeridge A steady game from Brian with several breaks, Bill lost one break and was chasing shadows after that. 1-2
Henry Brooks 8,190* - 7,070 Alan Brackenridge The best game of the night, Henry broke down on 1.4k and Alan ran in a lovely break of 6,930 Henry got the break back, ran in 6.5k and then came off leaving Alan 1k down with a minute left.... fortunately Alan didn't get the break back and Henry was grateful to take the win. Great game to watch with both players playing very well. 8-) 8-) 2-2
Tony Jenner 800 - 6,370* Kevin Stoner Into the decider and Little Legs was off early but TJ couldn't get the break back.... Kev seemed to get the break back every time he went to the table and kept adding to his lead, TJ played a superb 3 ball clearance shot to get the break back but then left both balls up on his break shot and Kevin kept plugging away and gained a deserved win for the visitors. 2-3
Lovely big pasta bake and chunky bread.... as always plenty of friendly banter with the Bridge team and a very enjoyable evening. 8-)

Cheers for putting up the scores oh wise bearded one, much appreciated.
For those of you who are acquainted with the Mid-Sussex league, we had an unfortunate "Watermill" situation at the Brewers last night. I had come in early and had a go on the table. Nothing seemed awry. First match on and the bar aunaccountably dropped what felt like very early. Sadly, no-one was timing this one and there was no real agreement on whether in had in fact dropped early. We agreed to time the next one and, sure enough, it was only running 10 minutes. After scratching our heads, we agreed to time another 8 minutes on the frame. After that, Mikey the landlord had a look and found some coins had managed to fall loose and jam the system. Once that was sorted, the table went back to normal for the last three frames.
Both teams were in full accord over the situation but it was a bit frustrating for the first players on and can only apologise to them and thank the Star for their understanding. I am not usually a "timer" person but will probably start from now on, now that there have been two such incidences.
I am at work as I write this, and we have just had massive equipment failure, timed at the exact moment I walked through the door, almost to the second. It seems am I somewhat cursed!!

Hi Spud, This happened to our Stew at the Ashburnham in hastings this season (not blaming him ....much ;D) with exactly the same cause, if i remeber correctly he lost on that occasion, so things usually even out (generally) happily both teams were relaxed about it. regs cs
