End of the Limes:
Well we knew the building was to be demolished, but there was a plan to build a new one on the end of the new housing development. Sadly now that isn't going to happen.
RIP The Limes, nothing but happy memories of evenings and the all-day events staged there.

Lauren and Julie Lauren used to play bar billiards in angmering Nice, glad to have another table in the area, and one close to me too! I imagine it is too far away for a team to play out of in the Redhill league, maybe a Horsham team could consider it?

Jel,
Your teammate Jim (aka Dillon) picked this one up on Facebook - or so he told me last night.
Anyone visting: can you also pop in the Cricketers (Ockley) just down the road while you're at it (to see if the table's still there ?) It is/was a Supreme, but in a nice position and playable.
The Inn on the Green table on the other hand is a nice-looking Jelkes SAMs (see their website for a pic)
Cheers, Clive

Could be some interest in Billingshurst League circles: Ockley is close to Capel, Oakwood Hill and Ewhurst, all of which have had bar billiards in the past. Handy too for Cranleigh.

The table in the Inn on the green is a Sams
It was an old table that was in a garage for a few years which we have done up and had recovered
If I can work out how to post a pic I will

Here's an interesting one ......... Said to be Redhill's oldest pub, the White Lion briefly had this bar billiards table according to Facebook, Feb 2018: However, the pub was sold to a developer in Sep 2018 and all the fixtures and fittings moved out. The previous landlady took over the Garland. Planning permission to convert to 4 separate dwellings was refused in 2019, so the future is uncertain.
Would have been a good one for Surrey Blue Jays (4-pinners) to practice on !

After speaking to their team tonight, it transpires that they have indeed lost the Reigate Ex-Service Club as a venue - it having been bought by developers. They will now be based at Horley Cricket Club but can't call themselves such whilst membership applications are pending.
