A big well done to Flying Scud's Geoff Jukes who made it all the way to the Semi-Finals of the 2009 Portsmouth Open, before falling to the eventual winner, Kevin Tunstall.
Geoff beat fellow England International Steven Sheard of Oxford at the last 16 stage, and then last year's event winner Mark James of Sussex in the Quarter-final.
The reward for his tremendous effort was a smart trophy and £30 prize money.

Thanks guys. Yes it was going quite well until I drew Kev in the semi. The games against Mark and Steve were tough. I felt good though, it took an 18k break from Kev to stop me. I don't know about coming into form for Surrey though... lets wait and see. The weather was fantastic all weekend. On the saturday I made my way out to Cowes and walked back to Southsea, if you disregard the ferry crossing! Brill weekend.
