Many congratulations and well done to Jean Over for winning the BIOC Ladies Singles yesterday. She beat Jane Woods in the final.
Also well done Lorraine Hall for winning the plate competition. She beat Sue Mariner in that final.

Yet another string to Jean's bow ! Congratulations.
Well done to teammate Josie in making the semis, and congrats to mama Hall - aka "Quiche" - on winning the Plate.
Sorry gals I couldn't be there, but I expect the Reaper enjoyed himself being a spectator ! ;)

Just to say well done to Jean for winning yesterday, she had a tough route to the trophy. First time she has won this one, and also much deserved after losing a couple of major ladies finals in the last couple of years.

Thanks all. Really pleased as it was a tough draw all the way through and as some of the tables were a bit tricky felt for the first time i managed to play consistently over all 10 legs. (Obviously didnt have too many bacardis)
Tommo The Reaper did enjoy himself. He did a lot of scoring (games that is)
Tony Not sure about the full set. The one that comes to mind is the Special Ladies Open in Reading. Dont know how long its been run for (Im sure someone will tell me). The only ones i remember are 2 years ago when i was runner up and last year when i didnt go coz i was in Spain. Im sure someone with all those facts and figures can tell you which ones there are that i havent won. One thing for sure the ones i havent won will never have Jean Over on the trophy.

Ok Jean I can provide you your vital statistics. For a comprehensive list of your acheivments click on the link www.brightonbarbilliards.co.uk/new_page_96.htmA full set of ladies titles at the moment would be 1) Ladies British isles 2) All England Ladies 3) Special Ladies Open 4) Ladies Grand Prix Jean's British Isles Ladies win is her second national trophy - she won the All England Ladies in 1983 (how young were you then Jean!) Recently Jean was runner up in 3 finals - British Isles in 2006 and both the All England Ladies and Special Ladies in 2005. The Special Ladies has been running since 2000, the Ladies Grand Prix was held for the first time last year, but Jean did not participate as although she qualified, she opted to play in the open grand prix instead. Jean also won the National Mixed Pairs last year. Early days but Jean is on for the 'Grand Slam' as she won the Sussex county singles this year so will be present at the All England Ladies. Pauline Withey is the only player who can boast a full set of titles - 2 All Englnad, 2 British, 4 Special Ladies and she won the first ladies grand prix last year. Most ladies titles would have to go to Viv Wright who has won 1 British ladies and 10 All England titles, and also won the National Pairs with Paul Sainsbury. PS Jean have you got any better pictures of yourself for you profile!
