Div 2 Surrey A were fairly relentless in thei pursuit for div 1 status for 2008, and only dropped one leg all day. Not surprising really, as their team now included Jan Taylor, playing alongside Jo Pitt (ne Hogan), Alison Norman, Sheila King and Denise Wills. The first four of those were unbeaten along with Enid Wain who was the only player to take a leg of Surrey A. Jan Taylor hit the div 2 high break of 3,560, Alison Norman finished with the highest average of the whole day with 5,117. Oxon B were 2nd, 4 legs adrift, Surrey B third, and Bucks made a welcome return and although finished last would have gained from the experience. It could hardly have gone any better....................... And the opportunity to finish the job off next year in Division One ! ;) ;D 8-) A full set of results is available on the AEBBA website, but here for posterity are the three Surrey A scorecards: Surrey B 0, Surrey A 5Nadia Wallace 1010, Josie Pitt 3660 Bobbie Davis 1760, Sheila King 2380 Caroline Jones 1600, Jan Taylor 1610 Genette Nicholls 1340, Alison Norman 6190 Shuana Nicholls 1720, Denise Wills 2050 Surrey A 4, Oxon B 1Josie Pitt 4520, Ruth Collett 2350 Sheila King 2020, Sarah Haberman 1730 Jan Taylor 4450, Debbie Surman 3140 Alison Norman 5530, Sandra Tebby 1020 Denise Wills 1890, Enid Wain 3770 Bucks 0, Surrey A 5Andrea Yearwood 2310, Josie Pitt 3070 Claire Surman 130, Sheila King 2120 Sue Haberman 2550, Jan Taylor 3570 Vicky Foord 610, Alison Norman 3630 Dawn Jordan 2100, Denise Wills 7750

Well done to the Surrey Ladies. It could hardly have gone any better....................... And the opportunity to finish the job off next year in Division One ! ;) ;D 8-) Indeed a fantastic day - we had great fun and enjoyed ourselves throughout! It was just a shame that one leg was dropped - we were hoping to have a clean card at the end of the day! A full report from Denise is being prepared and I will post it as soon as she sends it to me!
