Hi Lewes BB Fans
League cup result card for The star v The Bridge played at The Star Eastbourne
Peter Payne 1630 v 9490 Nigel Senior Gary Sweeney 1320 V 2110 Brian Muggeridge Stewart Chant 140 v 4570 Kevin Hall Phil Osbourne 5370 v 3320 Marcus Chipman Bob Osbourne 4110 v 0 Kevin Stoner
Result The Bridge win 3-2
The match was secured early tonight, looks like our Hastings Heros might need a bit more support next season, which might mean me hanging up the bowling greys on mondays and taking the reigns. Understand the table played well tonight so well done to Stewart and we forgot to organise the vitals so well done to Dave and Eve for comming up with the goods at the last minute.
Disappointing to hear that lewes might not accept additional teams from Eastbourne next year due to travelling, must do a bit more canvassing in the comming few weeks.

Hi Gandalf, It looks like your team had a good match against the Bridge at the Star last night.... 8-) I noticed your comment about next season.... Disappointing to hear that lewes might not accept additional teams from Eastbourne next year due to travelling, must do a bit more canvassing in the comming few weeks. ....and have started a new thread to give people the chance to air their thoughts on the subject, which hopefully will be helpful to our enthusiastic Eastbourne friends. 8-) ;D

Thanks for putting the scores up Colin, yes the table played superbly , certainly think our team will be fighting for a place to play when we return for the league match later in the season. I think Nigel would like another go as it was only when 3 people shouted at him SPOT that he realized it League Cup , ooops we forgot to say.

Late result for the Brewers/Legion match
Pete:580 Spud:4360 Derek:2960 Paul:2180 Jenny:870 Lynne:740 Ted:1920 Andy:2990 Dave:2020 "Lucky J" (Jason):1850
Cracking night of billiards, with everyone having their chances. Lynne, despite her final score, played one of the best games I have seen her play and wouldn't have been far off 5k if she had kept all her scores. In the end, another last ball game that went against. Jason earned his "Lucky" moniker by clattering the black peg but leaving it standing a full 2-3 inches off its spot. He also fought well but Dave nicked it right at the death.
Cheers to the legion for a great evening.
