I have never heard of a Governing body canvasing for punishment suggestions. They have shot themselves in the foot for doing this, from a legal point of view if someone wanted to go to court over this. Is the FA going to have an Online vote from all registered football players for suitable punishment for John Terry if he is found Guilty of Racism ? In my Opinion, the members of the AEBBA have probably made up their minds individually what to or not what to do. The longer this drags on, the more blurred decisions will become. I am sure most players will agree with my earlier posting, that the game of Bar Billiards is bigger than this incident, and at the end of the day, we all have to move on, whether we like it or not. Yes the "incident" affected many people greatly at Bournemouth. But I can see no reason why it should affect the smooth running of future Opens. I have to agree with everything that Stormin has said here. Although I am sure that the intentions of the AEBBA were good when this thread was started, the decision of what action (if any) will be taken has to be theirs to make and throwing this open to public debate has possibly not helped the situation. Milhouse is right to say that the decision should not be made in haste or anger, however it is also not either fair or reasonable to the people involved to expect them to wait a long time for a decision to be made.... ::)

This is going on now and becoming a joke. If they had sliced the table cloths with a stanley i would understand if it went on as long as this, but come on its some pegs. It was wrong yeah, but we've seen apologies. Make a decision and lets move on :)

Who will not look back at this in a year to 20 years to come and have a little giggle? I feel sorry for everyone involved, from reading all reports. Let's move on! It's not going to happen again now it's occurred, lighting never strikes twice!

As I said before this should never have been put on pro-boards for comments.
I respect totally Sav did this at the request from Phil and did so rightly following his request...but
This feels like a medieval witch hunt. Those who were not perfect, did wrong or caused grief!! Well I can think of many in the past that would have come under this. Those that knocked doors at early hours in the morning which I had with a young child. Those that did the full Monty sketch won't say whom!!! but there were about 5 of them. Those that keep going in and out of rooms banging the doors all night which we had two years ago.
We elect the committee, they should decide what happens. It should not be up to public debate.
Once a punishment if any, is decided, then it should be through the AEBBA only and not for any County to follow before or after. One crime, one punishment.
This thread should be removed and the AEBBA committee decide what happens as it mainly affected them. The AEBBA Committee should then make a statement saying what has been decided and why.
This is becoming a farce and totally unprofessional for the game of Bar Billiards.

For information, as co-chair of this forum, On Thursday morning I emailed all possible members of the AEBBA committee with a request that they make their intentions clear and call some form of meeting ASAP.

Although no-one has passed any judgment the Forum seems to be copping for a load of (unfair) criticism for its involvement. I would remind people that the Forum is now the official mouthpiece of the AEBBA.
So it would be good to get their (AEBBA's) view that this subject has received an adequate airing and that this thread can be archived accordingly.

At the end of the day I think everyone who wanted to have their say now has. To be honest I just want a decision made and this to be over. I did wrong and will take any consequences handed out but thank all moderators for their hard work ensuring it didn't get out of hand. I have decided to go ahead with my trip to guernsey and will happily apologies to anyone affected. I do believe this thread was started (not by sav) to name and shame and not get ideas on suitable punishment but again that is fine if that's the way they want to Play it. Again I am not justifying my actions but feel I have done more good than harm to the game over a twenty year period and just hope that the committee take this into consideration when making their decision. I hope this concludes matters and one again thank pro boards staff.

And I think that is a good point to close this thread and await AEBBA deliberations.

Hi All
I have just finished drafting the letters to be sent to Michelle and Chris.
The decision of the AEBBA Committee has been made and will be enforced when I receive the OK for the letters to be sent
Only when I receive conformation from Chris and Michelle that they have received their letters will the decision be made public, and only if they wish it to do so.
This should now put closure to this thread.
I wish to thank everyone for their comments and concerns and helping the AEBBA to make their decision.
