Incredible match tonight. Not particularly a fan, but would like to see Chelsea lift the Champions League after the previous disappointment involving JT and the molehill on the penalty spot. :o
Watched it in the Mill House on the big screen, following Curry evening plus 4 frames of bar billiards.
At 2-0 to Barcelona and a man down (JT dead-legged the opponent) it looked a lost cause but the Blues grabbed a vital away goal on half time.
They then survived a second half bombardment, some fine saves from Petr Cech including one tipped onto the post; a Lionel Messi missed penalty, and a goal disallowed for offside.
In an inspired subsitution by Di Matteo, Torres comes on for Drogba and scored a brilliant solo goal, rounding the goalkeeper and repaying part of that 50 million pound fee !
Well done Chelsea and bring on Real or Bayern !

Yes a great feat by Chelsea, and lets hope they can bring some silverware home this time around.

Great Drama in the Champions League Final tonight........it looked lost for Chelsea until Drogba equalised with a few minutes to go.
So extra time, and Drogba brings down Ribery in the box, Robben steps up to take the penalty.......and Cech saves it !
Come on you Blues !

......and on to the Pens.....
One penalty missed on either side and on to sudden death. Schweinsteiger stikes a post and, fittingly, Drogba puts his into the net.
Hail Chelsea, KINGS OF EUROPE !! 8-)

It was good to see John Terry holding the cup aloft last evening. That's the quickest he's got his kit on since Wayne Bridge came home early one night :o
