Just in case anyone is baffled as to the source of my rhetoric, I was referring to this which Jock posted yesterday : Jock Stuffed Andre Layzell off the table and out the room, across the street and into a waiting van, the van consequently drove off and dumped said Mr Layzell someplace unknown, with minimal damage to Mr Layzell. So where did the van drop the Brewers team off ? Wivelsfield Common ? ;D

Better late than never, I forgot to put Roys report on... as the man would say 'ere 'tis... Greyhound eased another point away at the top thanks to a return to winning ways away at The Windmill. Chris Watson put the leaders ahead but Andre Layzell pulled it back for the home side in the next. The final three legs all went to the visitors with wins for Trevor Rees, Peter and Neil Burchell. Zeds stay in second placed following a tough home tie against Saints. Alan Downs and Barry Timson won the first two legs before Mick Joplin took the third with the best score of the tie. Mick Holmwood secured the win for the home side in the fourth leaving Chris Little to win an important last frame to keep Saints second in division 1. Plough kept themselves in the championship race with a home win over White Horse. Ian Powell hit his best score of the season to take the first for the Horse. Mark Webber pulled that back for the home side before Dave Ingram hit the best away break of the season to put the visitors back into the lead. Des Gasson played a captains game to get his side back on even terms leaving Steve Whyte to win the decider and keep Plough in third place. Hurst needed a good result to ease themselves out of the drop zone and they got one away to The Droops. Roy Wells returned to some sort of form with a good first leg and was followed by Rob Hall in the second. Adam Bateup took what was to be Droops only point in the third as Pete and Kevin Hall grabbed the last two and a very important win to put them up into fourth place. Kleiners helped Hurst’s quest to stay in the Premier when they whitewashed The A Team at the Keymer venue. This massive result recorded wins for Peter and Jenny Edwards, Ted Stringer, Derek Taylor and Dilly Williamson. The bonus points earned by the home side has widened their lead at the top of division 1 and put their visitors into the relegation area of the Premier. Watermill kept themselves mid-table in the lower division after an away win at The Victory. The visitors took the first two frames with wins for Norman Cragg and Adey White. Pam Peacock took the third with a very close win and was followed by Ros Appleby in the fourth. With all to play for, John Willis snatched the last and the match win for the Watermill.
