As we are talking about a courtesy thing here ...... Just a side note - what are people's views about apologising (putting a hand up) for a lucky shot ? Nah....I just carry on as if I meant to do it... ;D ..and there was FAR too much of it going on last night!! ;) ;D Cheers Tony

Any form of upset destroys concentration in a game we are supposed to be playing for enjoyment. Sav There is the other side to it, Sav, which is that having to rummage around in the tray for a ball when going to the table and trying to assess what shot to play is what Margo finds off-putting. She also feels that all these allusions to 'bad sportsmanship' - by men - are denigrating what otherwise was an enjoyable day of Ladies bar billiards.

Well let’s just hope that this lady still wants to play for her County in the future, after being “got at” over something so trivial, as it wasn’t a very nice day for her, was it?
By the way, the captain who was asked to say something is one of the most respected and sporting lady players that you’re ever likely to meet.

At the end of the day it IS down to personal choice - like putting the cap back on the toothpaste, or putting the toilet seat back down. ;)
