Tommo this idea for a tables league is for fun, I understand. Just thought that if a good/great player can't do a basic shot on an away table then the score will reflect this better then if someone plays badly on there home table. H has nailed it on the head, maybe there should be criteria that you can score a table on for example "doing the basics" is a fair one ;D ;) Also does the ball travel from left to right etc..
I also prpose that the score of the table shouldn't be announced until 24 hours after the game so there is a cooling off period. For example I might fume about a table on the night but the next day my opinion might change. Just something to think about anyways 8-) ::)

Thats what happened to me - plus as already admitted I was quite drunk. What frustrated me the other night is that I really had my mind set on taking my game to that next level this season and all games like that do is hold me back. Selfish as that might sound, I always strive to win by improving my game - too many people are happy to win by bringing other people's games down, and that is something I don't approve of.

What frustrates me about tables is the difference in quality wherever you go, But even Reading tables can have bad days like Table 7 did at AEBBA event last Sunday. The right hand fifty hole was very tricky.
But the positives about tables should also be given a mention, for example the "a pub" table had a good fast cloth and didn't whip out the holes too often. Then you see the benefits as well as the negatives of that table.

Also good to see leagues purchasing tables and using all available resources to ensure the tables are off top quality. A point in case being Redhill using Savs` extensive knowledge and skills on one off their tables.
