Sadly, Gina lost her long battle and passed away peacefully at 7am today. :'( :'(
A wonderful friend, team mate and tremendous ambassador for the game that she truly loved.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Charlie and her family and friends at this time..... she will truly be missed by us all.

I am totally shocked, Gina was a lovely lady (as everyone who knew her will testify) Bar Billiards will be a poorer place without her smiling face.
My thoughts are with you Charlie, keep strong

What sad news :'( :'( :'(
Not only have I had the privilege to play in the same team as Gina, but also the very great privilege to know a wonderful woman and friend. As Dave said, she was also a great ambassador for the game.
Our thoughts are with Charlie and her family at this sad time.
Long may she be remembered

We will remember Gina not only as a great bar billiards Champion, but as a sweet-natured person who lived for a good many years in pain (with M-S) before the dreaded big C claimed her.
The words 'ambassador for the game' are particularly relevant as she competed at the highest levels, as well as organising sides for our fun competitions in the next county.
Our thoughts and condolences go to her soulmate Charlie, her family, and friends - including teammates - who she has left behind. Rest in peace, Gina.

I first palyed against Gina at the Landmark in Jersey & more recently she played against us in the Watney Mann with the Atlas. Even though she was in pain she played a brilliant game.
Everbody knew Gina as people have said she loved the game and was one of the greats that Sussex could have.
Rest in peace & I know TJ & the rest will be looking out for Charlie.

Such sad news. Our thoughts and prayers are with you Charlie and your family. Gina was one of the nicest people in bar billiards. Sad news, Gina was such a battler and incredibly is our Sussex Ladies Champion which she won in January despite her poor health. But more importantly she was a great ambassador for the game and encouraged young players, I remember her leaving her team to captain a team of youngsters including Glenn Chubb and Chris Reeves taking them from a div 3 team to cup winners in 3 years. Her enthusiasm and passion to bring on new players played a huge part in that incredible achievement
We also played each other a few times and she always gave me a tough game, and it is those games I will remember fondly....
My thoughts are with Charlie, Wendy and the rest of the family

Gina...A very special lady who always fought to win and she did in her battle with her health, yet always spurred me on in my return to Bar Billiards whenever we met.
She knew how to win with exuberance and lose with grace always. A true sporting hero.
Our condolences to Charlie and relatives.

Hey guys, it's Glenn here.
I'm a bit shell shocked as have just found out about this.
Needless to say I my thoughts and prayers are with you Charlie and your family.
I'm going to say somet things and to be honest I'm going to fumble it, but here goes.
Gina loved Bar Billiards more than anyone I have ever met. Firstly, I know I never achived much in the Bar Billiards world, but what little I did was all because of her, and I don't say that to be nice, I mean it in the litteral way.
It was her that spotted me messing around on a table one night and asked me to join her team, a team of new players that had never played before, a team which also included a young Chris Reeves. It was she who taught me to play, both she and charlie literally taught me shot by shot. It was Gina that got me involved in everything, right from driving me to my first open and many more down the years, all the way to taking me to Jersey my first year with Charlie, to encouraging me becoming Brighton chairman, and it's becuse of that I started this very forum... the list goes on and on.
But far more importantly than that, Gina was a wonderful human being. She put others before her always, and had so much love in her heart for everything and everyone who knew her. The way she fought on for as many years as she did is a miricle in itself, but she did so always looking at the possitive. Nothing would keep her down, and nobody would make her feel down. She was above all of that, and appreciated what a wonderful gift life is. That is a lesson to myself, and to everyone else who was priviledged to know her.
If kindness is a messure of a person, then I have never known a better person than Gina.
Bar Billiards has lost it's strongest supporter, it's hardest worker and it's brightest light today.
May you rest in peace my friend. You will be missed more than simple words here can explain xxx

Hello all, I messaged Wendy re dress code & flowers, the reply is such -
"Hi Coleen, I am wearing black as I am traditional, I believe Charlie maybe in Black or Navy, I would appreciate where possible no Jeans and Tshirts so formal would be nice for mum, however I shall leave colour choice up to you guys. No restriction or requests on flowers, I have not arranged for donations however if people would prefer to do that than flowers then I would hope that mum would be happy with donations to Saint Barnabas or the Bar Billard league. The only flowers that mum did not really like was lilies, she loved carnations, roses and most other. However having said that people should not feel obliged to do anything other that turn up as that would have meant the most to mum.
Could you just get people to email chaz with who is attending as we have not had many emails and I suspect more are comming but not emailing to confirm."
The funeral service is at St Nicholas Church, Shoreham-by-sea, Thursday 21st July at 11.00am,
PLease e-mail if you are attending to make an already tough job for Charlie & Wendy a tad easier xxxx
