Red Lion 3 Lamb and Flag 3 Colin Winstone 6130 - 6730 Steve Walker Jon Bamsey 140 - 15660 Tony Willis (9750 Tony) Ian Moss 12280 - 270 Martin Friend (10450 Ian) Colin 1260 - 10880 Steve Jon 10550 - 7410 Tony (10550 Jon, 7410 Tony) Ian 9080 - 1150 Martin
Some excellent scores at the Lion on a very nice table. Steve chased Colin's 6K in the first, I enjoyed the second ;D, Ian went off the 10450 in the third. Steve played well to make it 3-1 to the Flag but then Jon pulled one back, opening with a steady 10550 (one break each in this game). Ian then overcame an out-of-form Turbo in the last to make it three all. Flag still undefeated (somehow :D) and a very pleasant evening amongst friendly natives... Tony

Unfortunate and out of order when that happens. Our league has a rule now that losers are not expected to buy winners a drink.
It's bad enough for a newbie to get slaughtered, without having to pay for the privilege.

In this format it is custom to buy the winner a drink in the first leg but then return the offer after the second even if you do happen to win them both so its more of a friendly thing to do.

Well out of order, especially in these times of recession.
I've seen this sort of thing manifest itself in other ways, there are a team locally who recently thrashed a lower division team and all chose an expensive bottled beer costing the same at least as a pint. >:(
This can rebound on them when word gets around - as other teams then give that 10% extra effort when playing them, to avoid a similar fate. ;)
