I think you will find he was born in Cardiff...... still doesn't make him the best player in Premiership ! English or Welsh, that has to be Gareth Bale ! ;D ;D ;D (ducks)

Back to 15 points clear at the top. Can't see United losing another game to be honest, unstoppable. And Giggsy is Welsh, hence why he had so many caps for Wales. But he did play for England schoolboys. I still maintain he should never of been allowed to play for wales if he played at under 18 (i believe) for england. I think once youve made that commitment you should be stuck with it. Just like carl jenkinson, he played for finland at under 21 level, therefore should remain with finland. I suppose im bitter because giggsy would have given england that added quality down the left that theyve lacked for years until the coming of age of ashley young.

Giggs is welsh, wouldn't want him to play for England! ::) He done the right thing by playing for his home of birth country. I would understand if he was English. 8-)

Could it be Europa for the Gooners next season then? Spurs look like they've took the crown of kings of North London.

Well, who says Football can't be exciting at the lower levels ? Just secured 2 tickets for next Saturday at home to Fleetwood Town: it will either be the last game in the Football League for AFC Wimbledon - or, if a win, the game that preserves our status.
Barnet are in the same boat as ourselves as they visit Northampton Town.
Should both Barnet and ourselves win, we would both finish above either Dagenham & Redbridge or York, as by a strange quirk in the fixtures, they are pitted them against each other and of course they can't both get three points.
A fine sunny day will be a good omen, as it is the 25th anniversary of our Cup Final success of 1988 and that day was a real scorcher.....

The most amusing thing about the bayern-barca game is that in jupp heynckes' press conference, he was asked if he had spoken to guardiola about how to beat barca, i wonder if that journo feels a bit embarrassed

I'm sure that Tommo is having a happy journey home after AFC Wimbledon secured their status in League 2 with a 2-1 win today.... congratulations to Brighton for also making the Championship play-offs with a win away at Leeds, just a small matter of beating Crystal Palace now then to make the final at Wembley. 8-)

I'm sure that Tommo is having a happy journey home after AFC Wimbledon secured their status in League 2 with a 2-1 win today.... Thanks Dave, Feeling shell-shocked at the moment after a roller-coaster of emotions.... - 0-0 at half-time after rattling the crossbar twice.
- 60 mins, we go 1-0 up with a good header, 4,000 wombles go wild.
- A couple of minutes later we revert to type and concede a soft goal. Have we thrown it away ? Razorblades on standby.
- 10 mins later, we are awarded a penalty. Jack Midson, formerly of Oxford Utd, lashes it in. 2-1 and cue the raptures again.
- A nervous last 20 minutes, plus eight - yes eight - minutes of time added on follows, and finally we are safe.
- Cue a pitch invasion, Margo and tommo joining in, with the team disappearing beneath a sea of blue.
Settling down now in front of the box having demolished a celebrationary Chinese meal ! congratulations to Brighton for making the Championship play-offs with a win away at Leeds, just a small matter of beating Crystal Palace now then to make the final at Wembley. 8-) Good luck to the Seagulls.......you can do it against our former 'B' team and visit Wembley again - and at least this time the opponents won't be Man Utd !

Good on Wigan, always love it when an underdog wins ! Biggest upset in 25 years (almost to the day) when the Wombles beat the mighty Liverpool......
Game was even until Man City got dirty and had a man sent off - serves 'em right. 8-)
Can't see 'em escaping relegation though, with Arsenal pushing for a Champions League place. :-/

Not the greatest football but some incredible saves from both goalkeepers.
Good for Ian Holloway, Roy of the Rovers stuff for 39-y-o Kevin Phillips. 8-)
