just in case you haven't seen the post on the Horsham pages of this site. In response to certain people moaning about our table here is my response. I apologise for the tone but it does annoy me when I get a phone call saying have you seen whats been said about us?
Regarding the Stout House table. If people have got a problem with it then have the decency to ring me or contact me to find the facts about it, not bitch about it on here. Clive, you have known me for a long time, 'I' do not like playing on crap tables, in fact I am the first to moan about tables that you can't even get the break on which incidentally you can with great ease on ours. The table has been playing rubbish for a while and we constantly try and level it to make it playable. there is a problem with one of the legs and on Monday we thought we had fixed it. when I left the table Monday evening it was near perfect. I didn't pop back later to make it crap!! it is either people drinking in there leaning on it and not surprisingly I'm not going to spend the rest of my life standing guard over it or as I expect one of the legs is knackered. Along with Junkie I have spent hours trying to get it right for not only us but all who use it. Thank you Jim for your support you are quite right, GOOD players will score well. Now, unless anyone else is willing to take responsibility for it I suggest you air you complaints to me and not on here. A seriously p'ed off Vernon

In response to Vernon and Tommo's post
To be fair Springbok played the Stout House table last week and the break was spot on, the only reason we lost was because we did not take our chances. Heaven's knows what must be said about our table, which we even struggle with, but at least we cant be accused of setting up for a win ;D.
I saddens me to see negative posts about any team, as we have always experienced nothing but friendliness and support from all the teams that have been around for ages. Stout House have always been extremely patient and fair with us, which is appreciated.
I can assure you this is a freindly league, or we would have left it by now, we only experience encouragement from all teams regardless of our result.
Trevor

Stout House have always been extremely patient and fair with us, which is appreciated. Vernon and I know each other from the Redhill League, and have also played together for Horsham A and for Surrey A. I am sure it will all be 'matey' again when we come to visit them next Wednesday: They will be trying to put us in our place, and we will be trying to prove we are 'good players' as it has been hinted otherwise. If there's an extra edge to the match, sobeit.....bring it on ! 8-)

Trevor, as Clive said, we have known each other for many years, apart from the usual obvious banter there will NEVER be any malice between us, we are both aware that there are far more important things in life to fall out over than a bit of wood, cloth and slate. To be fair to Clive, he wasn't having a dig, but I was having a Very Bad Day when I reacted. Clive you are a good team no question. but just incase you're too good I've lowered one of the legs half an inch!!!! ha ha ha I look forward to seeing you guys next week.

Ahhhh we are back to the Bar Billard Love In :-*
I am fully aware of the long and good relationship you have and pleased that all is settled.
Great bit of billing for Vernon and Dorsil and they were unlucky by all accounts.
See you all soon.

Yes indeed, well done also to Diesel but a pity she didn't manage a stage further in this respect: ;D isn't Denise going to strip off if she ever wins a Ladies Open....what a "sight for sore eyes" that would be!! :-* ;D ;)

Dun Horse 4 Blue Ship 1 Dave Simmons w/o Scott Hope 3450 * Colin Cathie 1190 *Grant Hope 2180 Alan Maybee 1710 Colin Bolton 1890 * Mick Johnson 2290 *Stuart Hope 2140 Steve Holden 1650
Game 2: Scott built up an early lead, nothing going for Colin. Game 3: Close scrappy game, Grant made it safe after the bar had dropped. Game 4: Close game, lots of pegs. ::) Sigh of relief from Mick. Game 5: Pops kept his nose in front. Not much going Steve’s way.
Blue Ship only fielding 4 tonight as Ding unwell. :'( Get well soon. Roffey club table very unforgiving tonight. (Twiggy would have made a fortune! ;)) Many thanks to the Club for tasty Hot Dogs & Onion Rings. :P

Southwater SC v Mill House at the Dun Horse.....
Melvyn Blake lost to a regenerated Barry 1240-5440 Noggs '100 hole' Newman too good on the night for Alan, who had scored 6k there the night before. 7990-1170 Tony Franks 6k opener and reaching 3rd gear before considerately allowing his Tues night captain some table time 8300-3420 Tony Temple offered - and shunned -loads of chances by a strangely profligate Graham who lost more than he kept. 1990-3070
''''and so to the decider.... Ray Manser v Mr Mike: both players nervous, Ray underhitting some shots and Mr Mike accidentally knocking the black with the cue between shots before slotting into the groove. 1550-6110. 3-2 to t'Mill.
Match played in great spirit and a pleasure to play on such a good table.

Three Bees 4 Springbok Club 1
S Eely 2560 R Parsons 1320
Both players started slowly, but Steve put a couple of decent breaks together to push in front. Ron was always behind, but played a blinder and has to be pleased to break the 000's
L Lennon 1570 G Marshall 1580
Yep it was that kind of game with the lead swinging from one to another. Lynn did nose in front as the bar went but could not hold onto the table leaving Gary to clear all bar one ball which he needed to pot in the 100, which he did at the third attempt.
J Tudhope 2540 T Goacher BP
Only one person in this game and that was John, I was simply awful and used the last ball to BP to save the embarrassment of posting my score :-[
D Tomsett 1790 G Jarrett 920
Another slow start which Graham found himself in an early lead, however Dave's table experience kicked in and he put together a decent enough break to nose in front and build on it, leaving Graham to rue those misses.
M Lennon 2012 B Hicks 490
Bill started brightly and this was matched by Mike, sadly though Bill BP during the course of the game and was playing catch up. Mike continued to build on his lead and like me Bill went to save his embarrassment, but missed the BP and potted in the 200 :o
A good evening in friendly company, money for the table and sandwiches provided by Southwater club much appreciated. All players made a donation to the clubs charity.
