The food - tasty bangers and jacket potatoes cooked to perfection by Kelly, with additional butter and grated cheese. We were nearly the last to leave and arrived home at a quarter to twelve ! :o

Springbok SC 2 Limburners 3
G Jarrett 640 D Dewdney 4250
A steady game from Dick, with a struggling Graham making this a one sided affair, a decent 1700 in the middle sealed the result.
G Marshall 4010 M Davies 2740
A good game this with both Max and Gary building decent scores. It was Gary's knowledge of the table that counted in the end.
K Nixon 2380 B Goodchild 1130
Brian struggled with the break and table in general. Ken built up a good lead which was too much for Brian to claw back.
T Goacher 2720 B Hammond 2820
A game of changing fortunes with both Bill and I taking the lead from one another throughout. I had a 400 lead as bar went with Bill on table. He went for the 100 with last ball and missed, I left it short and then Bill realising 200 would win the game potted it cleanly.
B Hicks 1200 K Vickery 2950
This game could of gone either way, with Bill taking a lead and then the balls getting loaded on table. Ken then put together a series of great shots to clear the table, win the break back and set a decent score. Bill had no answer on this occiasion.
So close, but yet so far for us Springbok lads. To make it worse my colleagues have pointed out had I used the red on three occaisons rather than a white ball, I possibly would have put the game out of Bill's reach, no they are not bitter >:(
Limeburners lads were good company and Bill's onions were well appreciated.
