Just for a bit of fun........... www.guinnessworldrecords.com/schools/map/interactive-map.htmlClick on any county and the records it lays claim to appear. For instance, click on Kent and you will see their long-standing team effort for bar billiards. Northants, strangely, have two records for drinking ale - but no mention at all of Tango slammers! :o

I'm quite alarmed to learn that East Sussex has a 140 Million year old cobweb! Someone really needs to get a duster me thinks. Some of my other favorites include Hampshire having the largest inflatable church, and Suffolk for longest distance pushing a lawn mower in 24 hours by a team of four.
Believe it or not I was contemplating making an attempt to make this fine book myself once by clocking up the longest single radio show broadcast, however My Moyles took my thunder and to be fair had a substantialy larger audience than myself.
Strange I know, but true.....Another pearl of wisdom about me you didn't know, and absolutely don't care about in the slightest.

I'm alarmed by Hastings's claim to the largest gathering of pirates.......real ones ? Or just people dressed as pirates more likely, methinks. Shiver me timbers !
