Roffey SSC 4, Stout A 1
Excellent evening with the chaps, great scores across the board, and some superb food thanks to Mr Thornton. So, the scores:
Pete 8040, Sam 980
No luck for Sam having missed the break.
Twigs 2020, Pete H 7700
Yay! Twigs got the break back after I'd got 2500, but stopped after about 1,600. I got it back and the break went my way.
Mick 11,640, Pete T 1560
Excellent Mick game, Pete had no chance.
Dick 12,050, Tony 390
Master class!
Moose 7,420, JT 3,120
No luck for John, Lee played some excellent shots to continually get the break back.
Well played!
Pete

Dick 12,050, Tony 390 Master class! Pete I reckon there's two Personal Bests here. Congratulations to Pete who's only been playing a couple of seasons, and to Dementia who's been playing for over 40 and whom I can't remember getting a score like that in all that time. Like a fine wine, he seems to be maturing ! 8-)

Stout House Z 3 Dun Horse 2
Vernon Sparkes 2470 Dave Simmons 3700 Richard Plaw 3080 Grant Hope 1480 John Miller 2240 Colin Bolton 2050 Rick Langridge 2780 Stuart Hope 900 Andy Finn 1080 Scott Hope 5230
Game 1: (Played 2nd) Friendly (scrappy ;)) close game most of the way through. Both players strung a few shots together into a break at the end. Dave on the table when the bar dropped. Game 2: (Played 1st) Both players made hard work of the table to start. RP chalked up a few towards the end. Game 3: Close game all the way through. Junkie pulled out a slight lead towards the end. Colin got the break back after the bar had gone and didn’t have enough balls to catch up. ::) Game 4: This game should have been closer than the scores suggest. Pops lost way more than he kept. Game 5: Scott started well until he missed to lose his opening 2k. Dorsal unable to do much let Scott back in for 3k then 2k.
Tricky table tonight didn’t spoil a very pleasant evening with plenty of chat and banter. Good to see Vern still grinning following his recent nuptials. ;) ;D

A very enjoyable evening and not saying that just because we won: Excellent venue, good company, cheap beer, table played well, good lot of sarnies. Captain proud of his team - what more could one want ?

Springbok Club 1 Alfold Club 4
B Hicks 2280 C Greening 3400
A tight game, Bill took an early lead and the Minor needed a 1K+ break as the bar dropped to claim the point.
R Parsons 910 M Greening 1750
A rather scrappy affair with neither Ron or the Major getting to grips with the table. The Major's experience was enough in the end.
G Jarrett 2010 R Burgess 1300
Graham took an early lead and Robin could not claw back the points. Graham kept his nose in front to claim his first ever point in the league ;D
T Goacher BP D Slater 1600
I took the black peg out three times!!!! Twice the ball kicked back from the bottom cushion and skittled it, the third time i was trying to save face. None the less Dave was steady throughout and managed the double over me this season.
G Marshall 3360 G Fishburn 4220
Best match of the evening, both Gaz and Garry put in a decent performance. This was their second game of the evening as the first game ended after 12 minutes as the table had a moment. Our Gaz won that frame but agreed to replay the game as a true sportsman, sadly it came back and bit his ass.
Great night with our local rivals and friends, plenty of pi** take and banter, Happy Days :)
