Massive apologies but my hard drive has broken, well smoldered actually. Lost all the latest website updates, but luckily i backed them all up only to find the latest updates have all been corrupted! Thankfully got the files off the server but they don't transfer back properly to the right format, so until i re-do three months of work on the website there won't be an update, hopefully should have it back up and running tonight with any luck. So for time being i will post and update the scores and league table here.
WEEK ELEVEN
Old King John 3 Royal Albert 2
Chris Lamb 1,810 Nick Speight 4,030
Graham Dean 2,950 Phil Lambourne 3,670
Andy Ellison 3,360 Denis Cole 1,970
Nigel Doe 7,840 Tony Gates 2,280
Andy Eldridge 5,850 Garry Lynch 2,830
Nigel Doe 1 x 2000 break
Report by Andy Ellison
In a disjointed programme Andy Ellison and Dennis played first and neither could master the 1up,leaving Andy ahead as the balls ended in awkward positions. Graham led for much of the second game but Phil slowly came to terms with the table and stayed with a match-winning break as the bar went. Andy Eldridge and Garry traded blows early on but Andy settled better on the break and pulled away to keep his unbeaten record for the season. The performance of the night came from Nigel who recorded his best break of the season to set up the win. Tony threatened briefly but the ask was too much. Nick started steadily against Chris who looked to be getting back into it until an untimely peg intervened and ended his unbeaten run. A good night had by all and an encounter that lived up to it's table-topping billing in terms of both interest and tension.
Nags Head B 3 Old King John B 2
Glenn Davis 1,110 Colin Manson 1,170
Sean Keyes 2,580 Andrew Lipscombe 1,610
Ray Roberts 2,020 Ray Norton 2,100
Lisa Woodall 1,310 Phil Roberts 1,080
Dave Pearce 270 Darren Jenner 230
That win lifts the Nags B off the bottom of the table with a four point lead over the OKJ B.
Plough A 1 Ashburnham A 4 - Scores to follow
Ashburnham B 5 Plough B 0 - Report by Colin Southouse.
Colin Southouse 5,340 v 5,810 Chris Sexton
Sarah Quinn 1,630 v 2,790 Ron Young
Heather akehurst 260 v 5,720 Sandy Harmer
Stewart Chant 4,070 v 9,970 Roy Harmer
Lee Sunshine 920 v 6,940 Mick Osborne
Chris Sexton 1 x 3000
Roy Harmer 2 x 3000
Mick Osborne 1 x 3000
Result The Ash B win 5-0
Colin spent most of the game 4k ahead but a nice 3.5k from Chris near the end, a wicked kick on Colins 2nd break visit followed by another 1.5k from Chris left him 300 ahead at the bar Colin missed an easy shot in the 100 to gift Chris the game making a hatrick for Colin this week (doh) but a solid performance from Chris Sexton well done to him.
Sarah opened up with a 1k break putting Ron under pressure early on, the scores ended up neck and neck till about half way when Ron strated putting a few scores together and gradually pulling away from Sarah, an exciting game with plenty of chances for both, Sarah beating her previous seasons PB.
A somewhat boistrous game with most of those present tonight trying to distract Sandy throughout, with a few bits of advice thrown in by the Harmster to help Heathers' cause. Sandy tried to take advantage of Heather again !!! a few good shots from Heather made it interesting and it looks like her cueing is on the up and up
Roy Harmer opened up with 5k and looked like a new man tonight after what has been a poor season for the Harmster to date and playing his old adversary Stewart bought out the best in him. another 4k sealed the game and a 4k from Stewart near the death bought a bit of respectability to the scoreline, the 9970 from Roy another seasons PB but only his 2nd 5k plus score this season, we wish him continued success.
Lee Sunshine was in the driving seat at the start with Mick osborne finding plenty of ways not to score, but the ball moving on the D unsettled Lee and mick took full advantage for the rest of the game.
A great banter filled evening with our Ash B friends, we hardly noticed we were losing every game....was that Sandy's masterplan?
