I enjoy the irony of telling me to cheer up when we all seem to be grumpy codgers alike ;D ;D I'm only grumpy like this through the Winter months, sometimes wishing I could just curl up and hibernate. What comes of being a sun worshipper. 8-) .........to continue, 7. Comedians who just aren't funny.........Michael McIntyre, Ricky Gervais, Russell Brand etc.

Well done everyone so far, I do like a good moan..... but I'm just getting warmed up.
6. Call Centers Not Based In England Last time I called a help center, it felt like I was negotiating a UN trade agreement. I was spoken too in 6 different languages by 8 people, non of whome helped or even understood what my problem was. I now only use company's who base there support in England and have people available who actually understand what I'm saying, and don't read from a f**king script.
7. Microsoft Office Some pieces of software are worth the money, others not so much. MS Office is worth nothing, absolutely nothing whatsoever. I say this because you can download LibreOffice which is the EXACT same thing, and it cost nothing.
Shows what bad condition Microsoft are currently in when their biggest cash maker is completely unnecessary. But people are so locked into it and business and companys are so stupid that they refuse to save themselves a shed load of money by switching to something there even the interface looks exactly the same. You could just change the name and nobody would know the difference.
Windows 8 will be getting it's own post.... by that's for another time.
This was a nice way to start the day. I feel better already :)

8. E-Bay stuff being grouped under the wrong header. Incorrectly advertised as 'bar billiards': I keep writing to eBay complaining about bagatelle tables being advertised as bar billiards, and the search page containing all sorts of rubbish nothing to do with tables. ::) All to no avail. :( 9. The rigmarole you have to go through to get a password reset on the internet. So many different password for different applications, it's impossible to remember them all unless you write them down which is bad security. I fumbled my Paypal password which I had been using successfully for 6 years and got locked out. They sent me an eMail which would have enabled me to reset it, but it was to the firm I no longer work for. So now I have to phone Luxembourg. >:(

Peter kay is by far the greatest comedian of our life time, theres a lot to be said for frankie boyle and chris rock too ;) Tax dodging celebrities, jimmy carr to name ome as we are on about comedians ;D

I have most of Peter Kay's stuff on DVD, and Phoenix Nights is a firm favourite and hasn't been overexposed on TV. The 'outtakes' involving Max and Paddy are hilarious. ;D And you've led me to number 10. Dishonest celebs. Richard Madeley and Antony Worrall-Thompson are probably holding a wine and cheese party right now. Whilst Ken Dodd has built his escape from tax evasion charges into his so-called comedy act: Poor old Lester Piggott did a stretch in jail for similar. ::)

To add to your point tommo, i dont know anyone who agrees that harry redknapp wasnt dodging the tax system alongside taking backhanders for players and god knows what! Stephen fry, the man probably lives in a house of money, in a bed of money, has a sofa of money, and uses money as bog roll, yet he still was tax dodging!

'Arry boy was well-known for liking a bung, but didn't exactly get away with it completely as he missed out on the England job and then got dumped by Spurs. Several years ago now, Arsene's predecessor George Graham's managerial career was put paid to - I think they made an example of him. Both good managers. I felt sorry for Robbie Earle losing his job as a football pundit for selling on his free ticket allocation for the World Cup. No worse than many others have done before him - just that they never got caught. As well as the dishonest celebrities you have the mean: Mick Jagger is renowned for never having donated a penny to charity.

Phone calls from characters somewhere in India supposedly doing a survey. Usually have English as a third language. All of them claim to be called Kevin, Nigel, Roger etc. I just figure if the're going to lie about their name they are likely to lie about everything else as well. Phone down.....

Thoughtless comments on social networking sites such as Facebook.... where people seem happy to winge about everything but unwilling to discuss anything face to face with you! >:(
It seems the days of "real communication" between people are rapidly becoming a thing of the past.... ::) :'(

Texting....
My default position has always been that if anyone REALLY wants to speak with me, they will call me. Don't get me wrong, for quick info texting can be good. But these days..... No.
I get texts like "Hiya, what's up?", like they are expecting me to type 3 words back and go back and forth for 2 hours typing meaningless rubbish and not actually having a conversation.
Worst thing is, if you don't reply, people think that you don't like them anymore, or that you are ignoring them. I'm not, I just don't want to spend my life with my head stuck in my mobile phone like I see everyone else doing. They walk around like mindless zombies texting away, missing the world, and actually saying nothing at all!
And next....
To Piggyback on what the Warrior was saying above, I am really, really going off facebook (not that I was ever really on it). Facebook (or as I now prefer to call it, FaceAd) like everything has it's benefits, and with regards to connecting to people and sharing, Facebook can be superb. But those people that use it all the time!!!!!!!
I mean seriously..... Here's a typical facebook update from the more "Frequent users"
"Just got in today, am about to have me some soup! Yum Yum."
I mean seriously, no disrespect to anyone out there who uses facebook a lot, but is that really something the whole world needed to know? Anyone who gives running life commentary 15 times a day telling everyone about the most mundane silly things has to seriously, seriously look at themselves and ask themselves some questions......

11. George Galloway, union leader Paul Kenny, Gerry Adams, Andy Kershaw, Frankie Boyle, Ross Noble, Morrissey, Joey Barton and Ken bl**dy Livingstone........all the nasty bigots who've disrespected Margaret Thatcher in the press or on TV immediately following her death. If you don't have anything nice to say about her then have the good grace to keep it firmly shut. >:( RIP Maggie. :-*

I get annoyed when I am ignored or not spoken to for weeks and then made to feel it's my fault ! - (No, this isn't a personal relationship complaint !)

People who enforce their own, ill thought through (or at the very least blinkered) point of view by silencing others. I saw this technique both yesterday on Facebook and today on this forum.
Strangely both have not spotted the irony of their comments on a 'social networking' site!!

Mirror imaging! A weakness of mine!! Refurbing the spare AEBBA table and finding a cracked slate which has a Bar Billiards Ltd poor quality repair bar across it that is making the slate convex. Remove the repair bar, prepare the surface, turn the slate over and glue quarry tiles across the crack to stabilise it before putting on one of my supports. Recover the slate, reassemble the table and then cannot work out why the slate is still hissed. Close examination showed I'd glued the tiles on the opposite half of the slate!! (could barely see the crack underneath) Ah well, another load of 'Sticks Like' is setting a I won't be finished tonight after all! Sav

Tried remote control model aircraft flying a few years ago, fine whilst the plane was flying away from me, but as soon as it turned around and came back towards me I crashed it every time! Sav
