Hi Lewes BB Fans
Lewes kockout semi final result card The Star v The Bridge at The Plough
Stewart Chant 5060 v 830 Jean Brackenridge Peter Payne 3230 v 3350 Doug Dawson Colin Southouse 6310 v 2990 Alan Brackenridge Bob Osbourne 3660 v 1790 Kevin Stoner Phil Osbourne 10770 v 100 Kevin Hall
Result the STAR win 4-1
Jean and the majority of the bridge team opened with a too thin break shot causing the red to miss the 50 hole on the left, Stewart kept the score board moving throughout and Jean had no luck knock over too many pegs
Peter and Doug had probably the best match with both scoring a few at regular intervals but with onlt a few mins to go peter was 1.5k ahead and all looked rosey for 2-0 but Doug had other ideas and played the table to the bar leaving peter 370 behind alas peter was 220 behind with 1 ball left
Alan opened witha similar shot to jean with the same result, Colin opened with 5k but struggled from then on, Alan had enough time to catch up and had plenty of oportunities but was unable to take them.
Nip and tuck woth Bob and Little Kev for most of the game,Bob surged ahead shortly before the end to take the game
Big Kev missed the break as well leaving Phil to Open with 3k quickly followed by 7k to score another 10k total for the Star, Well done to all our team for a near white wash of the Bridge on a neutral table, perhaps they ought to take up 4 pin ::) :o ;D

Laughing Fish 4 Brewers Arms 1
Henry Brooks 13,910* - 1,730 Andy Farmer-Wright Henry opened with 10k and touch to give Andy no chance. 1-0
Tony Jenner 1,330 - 2,980* Dave Swinbank Chances for both players in this game with Dave getting the run of the balls at the back of the table to take a well deserved win. 1-1
Dave Ingram 10,690* - BP Adam Bateup Probably fair to say that everything that Adam did went wrong with him giving me the break back twice as well as knocking the Black Peg over twice, I managed to fall over the line at the third time of asking. ::) 2-1
Bill Kerr 7,270 - 640* Lynne Moye-Robb Lynne left both balls up on her opening break and Bill knocked in a steady 5k which proved to be enough. 3-1
Ian Lelliott 8,860 - 8,670 Richard Spurrier A great game to end the evening with Spud setting Ian a very tough target, Ian played the table to the bar and then kept going to overtake the score and take the win. Brilliant game to watch. 8-) 4-1
Many thanks to the Bridge for their hospitality and a lovely beef stew to keep us all warm.... also a big thank you to Kevin Hall who kindly came down and prepared the table for us and even scored the first game of the evening as well. ;D
