In order that the games, as the matches were reversed due to late arrivals.... ;)
Ian Lelliott 4,620 - 6,770* Jan Bithell Jan off fairly early but left the balls awkward and Ian couldn't take advantage, Jan then got a very steady break of 5,730 which left Ian too much to do in the time remaining.
Ron Sheridan 3,750* - 1,690 Richard Todd Nip and tuck most of the way through with Ron gaining an advantage as the game went on, Richard lost a break near the end that would have made the scores almost level.
Dave Ingram 7,070 - 3,860* Ric Bithell Ric built a useful early lead but didn't take advantage of getting the break back again, I managed to get the balls back and ran in about 5.5k to take the game.
Bill Kerr 4,400* - 4,250 Dave Knight Bill off early and Dave got the balls back straight away and looking comfortable until whipping a split out and taking the peg just short of 5k, Bill moved the tough ball that he left but didn't get any reward and Dave got the break back again, this time keeping the 4k he got, Bill got the break back and played the table out to win on the last ball.
Henry Brooks 7,580 - 3,550* Dave Todd A couple of goes each at the break and the scores were almost level until Henry finished off with just under 4k at the end of the game.
A very flattering result for us in which every game could have gone either way.... nice sausage casserole "thingie" to keep us all nice and warm and an enjoyable evening in good company. 8-)
World Champion - 2014 Oxon Open Winner - 2014 AEBBA Mixed Pairs Winner - 2014 (with Colleen Park) Highest Break - 23,930 (Brighton League @ Albion Fishersgate 18/05/2016) Bucks Plate Winner - 2009 & 2010 (The ONLY player to ever "successfully" defend a Plate Competition!)
Some very good games in this one: Bob had a great last charge against Andy but ran out of time. Huw had the game in his hands but left the one-up short to allow me to put a little gloss at the end. Lynne played her best match of the season, really hammering in the balls with abandon. Terry lost too much and Paul took adavantage.
Great night as always with the Cock, a 4-1 not really being a fair result on them.

Hi Lewes BB fans Result card for The Bridge v The Star
Kevin Hall 12270 v 1590 Colin Southouse Jean Brackenridge 4990 v 3790 Peter Payne Brian Muggeridge 1170 v 9350 Bob Osbourne Kevin Stoner 510 v 12620 Phil Osbourne Alan Brackenridge 1200 v 1620 Stewart Chant
1.Colin off early leaving Kevin to make a winning 10k break and tuck followed by a few awful shots from yours truly 2.Jean and Peter found it hard going tonight both having plenty of chances with Jean making a telling 2k at the bar to take the second game 3.Bob opened with 4k with Brian having no luck conceding a few breaks to Bob who gained a welcome seasons high score, glad to see him back where he belongs. 4.Kevin off early leaving Phil to take 2x5k breaks securing the game early, nice to see both our Hastings boyos, taking the game to the league leaders in some style 5.Think Alan must have been on tour in Stewart's anti-universe tonight as both were attempting not to score with extreme aptitude tonight, Alan outplayed Stewart by fouling on almost every visit to the table usually after scoring a few ks as well! ::)
result The star win 3-2
Loads of points scored tonight on a nicest bridge table yet, plenty of Laughs tonight and thanks to our hosts for a nice night and chicken thingy with rice and crackers.
