If anyone is interested Asteroid 2012 DA14 will pass very close to the earth tonight at 7.00pm. So close that it will pass inside the ring of geosynchronous weather and communications satellites at about 27,500km altitude ( geosynchronous Sat's are at 36,00km altitude ) Live tracking can be seen on NASA TV www.nasa.gov/multimedia/nasatv/index.html

That meteor in russia was incredible, really hits home that these things are real!
It makes me chuckle when these weird things happen in russia and the surrounding areas, never closer to home!
I must admit im sorta sitting back waiting for yellowstone to rumble :)
