In my boredom i started thinking about my own pre game ritual that i have, anyone else got any? Do share ;D Well, Margo and I live just round the corner from our local the Mill House, so our pre-match ritual is to have a slap-up meal there in the restaurant part before preparing the bar billiards room and the table for the match. :P For away visits I keep a lucky penny in my back pocket (or wear a St Christopher for really long journeys), and a box of Swan Vestas to roughen up my cue tip. |

Depending on how big the match is mine would be.......Sit down for a Poo!.......then sit down for another Poo!....... then yet another Poo!.......and for England matches add on another TWO Poo's!

Mine is quite simlpe......Remember to bring my cue ;)
Then put the parts together and then place it on the hooks on the side of the table if fitted!
This so my cue can tune itself to the table lol ;D ;D

Always, always go for a pee whether I want one or not. You can guaratee I will ten minutes into the game otherwise! (and your opponent is usually in there too so a bit of pre-match psychology usually takes place... ;D)

Well dave mine is a bit of a weird one, whether i have the break or not i will take the time to rub my hands together in a folding sort of action for a multitude of times, never a specific amount, then rub both hamds on each respective trouser leg, then go back to rubbing my hands together again for a slightly shortened time tobthe previous one. I do it because i can get sweaty palms but now it feels weird if i dont do it as the first time i did it like that i won and won well ;D not quite like sticking everyones cue to the ceiling but call the men in white coats ;D ;D |

I have to empty my pockets so all I have is chalk! I also never stand still... Always pacing or tapping my feet! Especially in opens and county/inter area matches!

Before going out to play I quite often wash my face with warm water, then splash it with cold, then dry it off.
I have to feel 'cool' before I can play: used to be renowned for it, I used to be known as 'Cucumber Clive' ;D ;D ;D

Before playing I often have te habit of drinking a pint or two, or three, or four. Odd I know, but it works for me
