Hi. I used to play once in a while in York about 30 years ago (The Acorn, & The Cross Keys, Goodramgate, as far as I can remember). Since then, nothing. Now I see York is down to 2 tables, at The Golden Ball & The Phoenix, and the local press story about that has made me think about playing again. Hope I get the chance to soon... :)

Hello and welcome !
I know that Yorkshire is huge, but if you have a look at our section on "Non-affiliated mainland areas" you will find that there are also pockets of interest developing all around you.......in Sheffield, Huddersfield and Hull.
Still starting off competitive playing in York itself is good for a start, and maybe it will grow from there. Hope so.
