4 The MV Wilhelm Gustloff in Jan 1945: German ship torpedoed by the Ruskies in the Baltic with the loss of over 9,000 lives. * 7 Alexander VI 10 Italian, born in Genoa. 14 Well Socialism had been around for a while and the Labour Party can trace its origins back to the Fabian Society. The first Labour MP was Keir Hardie.
* I'll claim this one for a single ship. ;)

1. Constantine X1 2. Mehmed II? 3. Adolf Hitler? 4. The destruction of the Roman Fleet in the First Punic War (against Carthage) by a storm with an estimated 90,000 lives lost. The Spanish Armada (about 15-20,000) would probably be second.

12 Oliver Cromwell? 8 Fleas 10 Italian 14 Kier Hardy Questions already been answered, i shall give you two points for taking the time to answer, 12 and 8 incorrect though. I think 12 is worded badly, i mean who was the first leader in terms of a prime minister, the office of prime minister wasmt actually established til a later point, which is the bonus, sorry all i will get better at this.

I will go for Flying Rats then AKA PIGEONS ??? 8) I will be interested to learn the true answer to this one............ I like Kev's theory of the "Rats with Wings", nasty greedy creatures who mess on my car with impunity. One even caught me right down the back of the neck while I was walking along in Jersey minding my own business. >:( So I'll match this with "Squirrels" (a word unpronounceable by Germans) which after all are nothing more than rats with a bushy tail and a good PR agent. ;) ;D
