The long unbeaten run by the Bridge ended by the defending champions.....! ;D :o
CKRBL 3 Bridge 2
Jenny Edwards 1620 - 3840 Alan Brackenridge A solid start from Alan who was able to maintain the gap after his opening break. 0-1 :(
BB Warrior 5860 - 470 Marcus Chipman An opening break of 3.5k for me, with the balls not running for Marcus at all. 1-1 ;D
Derek Taylor 2290 - 3150 Kevin Stoner Kevin battled hard at the start of the game to keep his break going with Derek having very little luck. 1-2 :(
Peter Edwards 5230 - 1710 Jean Brackenridge Pete off early but Jean not able to take advantage. Pete first to get the balls back and managed a grafting (and occasionally lucky!) 3k break which Jean wasn't able to catch. 2-2 :)
Ted Stringer 2760 - 1920 Lee Chipman With both players struggling to get going in the first half of the game, it was Ted who got the balls back when it mattered to win the match. 3-2 ;D
A closely fought match played in a friendly, competitive manner on a tricky top. ::)

The Brewers continue to chase!!!
Brewers 4 The Only Way is Up 1
Jock 'what are you on' Jeffrey 5020 James 'longest pregame pee in history' Hawkins 1100 Ha ha with young James enjoying the delights of the Brewers wee boys room for an inordinate length of time, the Brewers nearly closed down and re-opened as a bank. ;D ;D ;D Anyway match under way despite the sticky handshake :P it quickly turned into a hard match for Jamsie boy wi the captain in good form from the Sunday one day Interleague the day before, breaks of 2800 and 1600 from me to take the opener handsomely. James managed to get going and may have been a closer match had he not found the costly end of hitting so many pegs. ;D 1-0 :'(
Andy 'no mercy' Farmer Wright 7640 Peter 'no luck' Shaw 310 Andy Farmer taking this one without to much trouble 2 good 3k breaks with Peter having no luck pegging several times in succession. Just couldn't get going at all, peter tried hard tho but just not to be this time. Andy showing very little mercy played very well, too easy the victory. ;D ;D 2-0 :'(
Adam 'too slow out of the blocks'Bateup 1560 Russ 'not so slow out of the blocks' Jennings 1590 So the master Bateup messes up his break and plays most of the match looking like he got both his eyes shut, meanwhile Russ is playing steadily and consistently pulling ever farther away. This turned into one of the best games of the night Adam finally got his act together gets the break back and leaves his one up short, Russ gratefully accepts the gift, and then promptly messes it up, Adam pegs a 500 break which would have won him the match, Russ again accepts the gift and returns it to Adam unopened as he slips a peg over as well, bar drops Adam has 2 balls left on table and is 20 in front, just needs to drop em and the game is his, but alas not to be, potted neither of them and Russ steps up to accept his third gift of the night and pots both to win the match. ;D ;D 2-1 :'(
Kevin ' I love the pain' Hall 6340 Sarah 'nearly had him' Hughes 1110 Poor ole Kev, suffering badly with some dire malady to the gum region of his kiss box, and forced to come out doors and play two matches in one night, what a gladiator, what a hero, what a man, a mans man, a wooooman, anyway he won handsomely despite messing up the break, he did get it back again and I think he slipped in a 3k break. Sarah tried hard but just couldn't get the ole engine fired up. ;D ;D 3-1 :'(
Papa 'was a rollin stone ' Hall 1230 Liam 'Slapshot' Churcher 200 And so on to the lowest scoring match of the night, again the B's player messing up on the break, and hitting the balls soooooo hard throughout the match it was left to ole Papa Hall to grind out the victory. It was in doubt for a while tho with Papa Hall playing like a rollin stone, but for young Liam catching a black peg late on in the match, it should have been much closer, Liam did go on to pot the last in the 200 to give him a token score. ;D ;D ;D ;D4-1 :'(
A great night with copious amounts of abuse being flung in both directions, and special thanks to those who scoffed all the grub whilst I was scoring the last, B*****ds!!!!! :o ;) The table appeared to play well with no real roll that I could tell, but then I was 2 sheets and steadily working on the third one. ;) :P Team disappointment for there being no Maria's thong to look at.(get well soon chick) Team happiness Jackie showing us her one instead. ;D ;D ;D ;D

Thanks Kev, maybe Marcs needs the practice on it more than me though....!!?? ;) ;D But I did have to try to get my own back after he had beaten me the day before up at the 1 day interleague at Roffey and he didn't have any luck at all last night. Good luck for the rest of the season to both you and the Droops, we will try our best to catch you both up and maybe the year still has a few twists and turns to it..... unless you bring "supersub" out to play of course....!! ;)
