Hey all,
Brewers Droops ran out victorious against the Laughing Fish in The Final Of The Off The Spot Cup.
Final score was Brewers 4 Laughing Fish 1 :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
Scores on the doors were
Andy farmer Wright 1800 Keith Fantom B/P Richard Jeffrey 1500 Ray Carpenter 1470 Adam Bateup 1830 Jim Ashford 830 Richard Shepherd 1660 Les Whiteman 890 Colin Humphrey 600 Andy Brooks 900
Thanks to The Black Horse for the excellent hospitality again!
Much thanks to the Laughing Fish for an highly entertaining evening. The real difference was that we adapted quicker to the table than the fish did, the table was a little awkward, whippy with just a hint of a roll inwards from both 30 pockets.
Andy wining easily in the first, even though tension was high. I nicked the second against Ray on the last 2 balls, considering with about 5 mins to go I was 1000+ behind. Adam stayed steady and consistent to hold of Jim whom really struggled to get to grips with the table. Rick put on an excellent display of tablemanship, showing that even though he has been out of the game for a while experience showed through with several excellent 2 cushion escapes to the balls parked up behind the 10. Colin played a steady match against a struggling Andy and handed the match to Mr Brooks by hitting the black peg with only a minute to go. he was 1100 in front at the time.
Well done lads!!!!!!

Cheers Bernie
I have to insist that you did help us get there, the look of abject fear in our opponents eyes as you walked in was more than enough to ensure us a finals match. You were sorely missed on the night though. Medals on their way to you Via AFW.
Glad to see your back on line buddy, how goes the birth of the Cornish League?
