Hi Hastings BB Fans
Medway v Hastings
Gerry Fitzjohn 11980 v 3050 Stewart Chant Curt Driver 4440 v 650 Fred Pope Gerry Goodwin 890 v 4291 Dave White Gary Speller 9070 v 3760 Phil Osborne Steve Daw 830 v 7510 Colin Southouse Simon York 3010 v 6200 Bob Osborne Mark Brewster bp v 9760 Mike Daw
Result Hastings win 4-3 a great win away
Gerry opened tentatively but kept on the table and continued until the 10k approached followed by a tuck leaving Stewart to recover the break and get a steady 2k followed by a clearance and play out by Gerry
Fred opened but left the 1 up, Curt played a few interesting practice shots early on and lost plenty of points most notably a 7k half way through but was always ahead of Fred another 3k form Curt at the end to take the win
Dave had the run of the balls and Gerry didn't, few nice small breaks from Dave sealed the Game
Gary got 3 2.5k breaks on the bounce leaving Phil away from the table for too long, Phil started slow and ran out of time after he posted his own 2.5k
Colin pegged his opening break early yet again leaving Steve to open with an impeccable exhibition of break building but left the split short of the 100 hole on 5k leaving a trickle to the ball to record his break but the cue ball seemed to fall slightly to the left allowing it to travel slowly but inexorably toward the left peg and gave it the slightest of nudges but was enough to topple it. Colin took up the reins and played a nice 6k and tuck leaving the unlucky Steve not time to catch up.
Bob was off after 1k Simon then crept ahead but kept inadvertently attacking the left peg leaving bob to forge further ahead as the game progressed taking the win and leveling the scores for a final game extravaganza.
Mark left the split short leaving mike to get a 2k leaving the 1 up short, Mark responded similarly with another 2k and left a 20-10 shot for mike to recover and work toward a 7k and tuck to secure the win for the visitors with a few minutes to go, Mark chased and on 3k he BP'd.
Congrats to Hastings who continue with their title hopes still on track

Just checking, the Kent fixtures say Hastings are at home to redhill Sunday I am led to believe the fixture has been reversed, is this correct? Regs cs

Good point. When I spoke with Tony at the masters I think I remember him saying they were coming to us and I reminded him that we were definitely at the ash this year after I messed up last season.
Not sure if Phil realises this or if they have agreed to swap it?
