No commemts from Tommo on Saturday's result ? Oxford Utd 2-1 AFC Wimblodon Okay, as you want a comment..... Oxford do a real cheeky by signing former (old) Wimbledon player the 36-y-o David Connolly on loan and using him against us. He scores what proves to be the winning goal. How did Everton do in the recent scouse derby, by the way ?

Watching Liverpool v Arsenal on BT Sport 1HD at the moment (with Margo, wearing her nice red scarf). Liverpool are absolutely ripping Arsenal to pieces, 4-0 up inside 20 minutes. And could easily have had two or three more !
[edit - Arsenal off the ropes at last with some good possession up till half time....Liverpool are still looking dangerous on the break though]
[2nd edit - it finished 5-1 and talk now of Liverpool being title contenders.......]

The Gunners performance today was appalling. I can only blame the manager again for failing to bring in new blood in January. this is the first time in seven years that we have been in a position to push on and perhaps even win something. but the stubborn Wenger still insists " this is a strong squad" full of "great mental strength" when anyone who watches regularly can see the frailties. It was crying out for a couple of good signings to bring new blood and bolster a few position, even if a world class striker was not available. But once again Wenger is not prepared to meet a players valuation, and again offered a few mill less than the asking price. i don't think we will win a major trophy until Wenger is gone. meanwhile my season ticket goes up by another 3 percent. Bring on the Mancs, Liverpool (again) and Bayern Munich

Sanogo starts up front, has Monsieur lost his mind or is it potential tactical genius?!

Sanogo starts up front, has Monsieur lost his mind or is it potential tactical genius?! Sanogo is obviously a talented lad and he played well enough v Liverpool in the cup, but he is very inexperienced at this level and is a bit lacking in match sharpness.
Word in the ground last night was that Giroud had fallen out with Wenger, after lying, over his dalliances with the ladies and was being punished by sitting on the bench.
After Ozil's woefull penalty attempt last night, I felt heads went down. then losing Gibbs to injury and Chezney being sent off it only left one sub available. If we'd had 11 players and Giroud on the pitch I think we could have given Bayern a real test but it was all over after the sending off. Lets hope Giroud and Wenger kiss and make up before Sunderland on Saturday. "Up the Gunners" Brian

Interesting comments. It probably wasn't the fact that Giroud lied but probably that the pictures in the papers saw him up at 3am in the morning when Wenger stresses that players need lots of rest. Bring on the second leg. As the first 15 minutes we looked like a team ready to beat Bayern

Bring on the second leg. As the first 15 minutes we looked like a team ready to beat Bayern We can dream, but this tie is over! i would rather concentrate on the FA cup & Prem. Starting with our strongest available team on Saturday. That means "resting" Ozil, and starting with Rosicky, Ox, Cazorla and Wilshire in midfield and Giroud up front. Got to get max points as we still have to play Chelski and Citeh.

Ozil is definitely a man short of confidence, it goes to show that hes not really been rested this season after his last few showings! I think youre right about the midfield for Safurday Brian, Cazorla at 10, Ox left Rosicky right, Flamini holding with Wilshere going box to box!! Losing Gibbs is a massive blow, i thought we would be even more up against it what with him gone and then Mr Intellegent getting sent off!!

If we dont win we deserve shooting! But to be honest Wigan is a tough draw, theyll be up for that, i would much rather of had one of the other two than Wigan. I celebrated hard though when that result came through when i was at work!!

No quadruple for Citeh .... goes to show that greed never pays ! Beginning to look like it's Arsenal's cup to lose now ! Never happy when were favourites.... the press will be "gunning" for us all the way waiting for the "usual collapse".

A Hull-Wigan final doesn't sound quite right, would require an oval ball....... So my Crystal ball predicts a Gunners-Blades final with a smiling-with-relief Monsieur Wenger lifting the Cup. The script is already written !

You'll be taking a leaf out of Chelsea's book, then: Their FA Cup win in 1997 ended a 26-year wait for a major trophy.

Mmmm - would not be able to face Diddy or Gary Naftel if the Blades lost to Arsenal in the final Or is it they would not be able to face me if Blades beat Arsenal in the final

Certainly if Arsenal do now not win the FA Cup this year then Senor Mourinho will be proved correct with his recent comment about Monsieur Wenger only being able to succeed in failure.

Indeed, it would be good to stick two fingers up at Senor should we succeed! But i tempted fate the last time we got to a final to lose to the "mighty" brummies! (Maybe if Stan Kroenke was on trial for money laundering we might win more!) That was a depressing day. So im not going to say it is set in stone this time but this is the best chance weve had for a number of years!

Maybe if Stan Kroenke was guilty of money laundering they might invite Alisher Usmanov onto the board. which would be great for the Arsenal as he is only worth $19.6 billion

Any other club would give their right arm for that money on the board!!

It may be nice to have Usmanov's money but you need a manager who would actually want to spend it, time and again we have been a couple of good signings away from having a top quality squad, but because of his reluctance to spend (or he would say "there is no-on who could improve our squad) we have fallen away at the death. The constant mismanagement just goes on, and the board are happy because the club make £50m profit every year and "wins the fourth place trophy" If we fail to win the FA cup this year, I am convinced that we will win nothing until Wenger is gone, roll on that day.

Indeed, i have to say though that any other manager probably wouldnt of done as well if they were doing the same as Wenger which definitely makes him a cracking manager! Just a stubborn Frenchie. I cant help but agree that if we had spent that unbelievable yearly profit, we wouldnt be having a trophy drought! A world class striker, holding midfielder and full back would be nice if you happen to read the forum Monsieur.
