ha ha typical kev, head turned by his lovely lady, or is it that your playing so much it's all just become a blur haha.
We were playing the revamped Horns Lodge
We did indeed win 3-2.
Andy 'solid' Farmer-Wright 2580 Tony 'trickshot' Ward 550 Peter 'Eh?' Hall Paul 'never played off the spot before' Dronefield 1230 Richard 'jammy b*****d' Jeffrey 3510 Dave 'I had the game in the bag' Guilford 1780 Kevin 'where, when, who, why?' Hall 4610 Geoff 'is that really all I scored' Winson 200 Adam 'not thinking straight, not hitting straight' Bateup B/P Ben' its NOT PROCTOR ' Procter 1700
A fairly quiet and subdued evening due mostly in part to yours truly being bloody knackered. big Andy lead of with a good solid performance against a very impressive Tony whom displayed a wondrous array of shots in his arsenal, but the flashiness caught up with him and I think he black pegged at least twice. 1-0
Papa Hall struggled along game fully against newcomer (i think to this league anyway) Paul Dronfield I think Papa Hall needed the 200 to finish to win but pegged picking up our first of two black pegs on the evening. 1-1
Dave was pretty much in command of my match for the first part of it anyway, with yours truly not being able to hit the barn door again, not even from close range. Then I fluked the break back and it all changed, thank you once more to the billiard gods whom smiled upon me again this day. 2-1
kevin Hall up next to the plate and played solidly enough against a struggling Geoff, Kev never looked like losing, but then again he never looked like he was there either. haha 3-1
Not much to say about Adams match a close run affair with Adam just behind at all times, a bad tactical choice by Adam at the last saw him lose out to the big ben, with Adam black pegging to finish. 3-2
Cheers

Papa Hall struggled along game fully against newcomer (i think to this league anyway) Paul Dronfield Paul playing again ? Great character, used to be the landlord's son and then landlord at the Ship Cuckfield. If you like banter, consider that the funniest and almost the most enjoyable evening's billiards my team have ever had was when we had to play his team at our then-home venue the Victory. And we lost 0-5 !!!! Paul was mucking about all the way through his game and playing trick shots, and at one stage looked under his own haunches (the guy is double-jointed) to see up the skirt of a young lady standing at the bar ! :o :o :o ;D ;D ;D
