With the busy season coming up in Reading, I think it a good idea to get the confirmation of counties and individuals for 2 days in September to help me and Dave with formats. These days are 11 for 11.30 start
Sept 22 - County div 1/ AE Ladies
County div 1 can the following teams confirm they are attending div 1

Still in shock at my win, but can't seem to shake this silly grin off my face either. A huge thank you for a fab day, well done to all the ladies playing, especially Jean who came a very close runner up. Sorry for the lack of streaking but I feel my body has taken a slight turn for the worse since I made that silly statement. Hopefully it won't take me another 29 years to win the next one!!

Congratulations to Denise on her (long-awaited) victory yesterday, some very close games between all of the ladies that took part and only just over 1k aggregate score separated Denise from Jean who finished as runner-up.  Berkshire A won the Division 1 County Championships finishing on 23 points, with Kent A just pipping Sussex A to the runners-up spot on aggregate scores while Oxon A finished 4th, Hampshire 5th and Oxon B were relegated despite finishing on 12 points. Many thanks to Dave Alder, Phil Hawkins and everybody else involved in running another enjoyable day.  |

An excellent day all round, my thanks to Dave Alder, Phil Hawkins, Ron and Eileen Britton and all those involved in running the day. Well done to Denise on her victory, I am sure there will be more to follow. Congratulations for Berkshire on winning the title this year. On a personal note I was Very pleased with the way we played as a team and a very creditable 12 points for Oxford B up against some very tough teams. It's unfortunate that we had such a slow start winning just 1 point from the first two matches, as we followed that with a 4-3 win over Kent, a 3-4 defeat to Hampshire and ended with a 4-3 win over Sussex! Excellent experience for all of us involved and I am sure we can win Division 2 next year! |

I doubt that ANY county, except for Berkshire , will have complied with the end of August registration rules as per EXACTLY the same discussion last year, Oxford included, so the rule book cannot be selectively applied again this year. It would be far more helpful, I am sure, if questions were factual rather than 'I have heard that' surely if you wish to query any entry do it outright ?? or why bother as it just gives others work and leads to suspicion which really is not required. I know that all teams would want to be eligible to play. Fine to question just be forth wright.
