Looks great, and it may not get said often, but I genuinely speak from the whole league and want to say "well done" at giving the league a new lease of life with the newsletters and the masters!

Happy%I agree, but one thing to note is that there has been no write ups sent to the Northants telegraph or the Northampton Chronicle this season. I gave you the email addresses and contact when you asked me, when you first started the web site, as you said that you would take over from me doing it. A simple cut and paste of the reports and a league table would be great, people ask me if the league is still going as they haven't seen any reports.  |

Ian, thanks for this. Please let me know who has asked you if the league still exists because everything I sent to the papers has not been printed and, in fact, they do not even acknowledge receipt from the contacts you gave. If you are saying you have other contacts then that may be a better route in.
As ever, I have been trying to cover lots of bases so I apologise that this has not met all of our requirements to date.

From (past) personal experience I can tell you that local sports editors need coaxing, cajoling, mollycoddling and maybe even a little bribery ! To get them on your side you may even need to invite them to an event and buy their drinks for the entire evening !  |

I am very comfortable with this aspect but short of calling EVERY day and taking their children hostage I am not sure how to get their attention.
In the last 6 months I have sent 23 emails to both local papers. In fact I fear the next course of action will be for them to take out an injunction against me!!
But I am a determined wee soul so will continue. I like a challenge!

It appears that we have succeeded this time in getting the report in the local press.
But as Michelle Pfeiffer said in Dangerous Minds "anyone can get an A once. It's keeping an A that's hard."

I have now added the previous newsletters (well only from last October so far!) to the website. They can be found via the News Archive page within the Archive area.
I expect to be able to publish the March newsletter in the coming days.
In future, the newsletters will ONLY BE PUBLISHED ON THE WEBSITE unless there are individuals with special requirements.

Oh, and in other news, the fixtures for the Nene Cup and Premiership Final 1st & 2nd legs are also now on the website.
Not that I think we've cracked it but the report from the semi finals of the above competitions does appear in the Northants Telegraph this week.

Looking at the analysis of hits on our league's site we have had:
95% from UK
3% from Spain
1% from Brasil
But also hits from US, Italy, Canada and Denmark.
Whilst they may be accidental travellers (or automated scanning) one or two may well be real.
We may indeed be getting the message out there!
