Looking at the weather forecast for Sunday it's not going to be very nice to travel in. I don't think they'll be playing golf at the venue!!!

Ouch! 10 am start - the only Sussex player to start that early. What did I do to upset Nigel?

Yes I hold my hands up I did the times I do my best to keep everyone happy but I'm afraid there will be early starts for some (someone has to play at 10am!). I tried to have only Bucks, Oxon and Berks players on the first two series, and also the first two series have less matches than the others. Unfortunatley I could not stop some Sussex players playing early. Ros, you have done nothing to upset me but unfortunately every game on table 7 has a Sussex player involved so you drew the short straw. I also dont know who is travelling up with who so cant really factor that in as well. However I did do well for the two golfers, but if Keith is right about the weather they might not be playing! Until someone a lot cleverer than me can write a clever computer program that can work all the tables and times for you I'm afraid some people will get a little unlucky with their start times.......

I for one really appreciate what you do Nigel. I know you can't keep everyone happy - I drew the short straw at the Surrey and played at 10am. At least coming that time in the morning Ros you might miss the thunderstorm we are due to get later on!!

Indeed Keith, it is not looking the best weather wise at the moment - I will wait until Saturday afternoon to have another look though as they are bound to change their mind!

Congratulations to Kev Tunstall on winning the main, against Ian Lelliott as RU, both pleyed so well all day with some great breaks between them during the day. Martin Cole defeated Lee Radford in the final of the Plate, a great days play by both of them here. Well done all

Well done to Kev on winning, a great 10k break in the final, having to work extremely hard on a tricky top. This after conceding a near 6k lead to Ian and with Ian's break to come. Big thanks to Chrissie and Dawn for running the admin desk on a difficult day, having to deal with a number of issues most notably the number of absentees from the original draw. Free maps and free AA membership need to be added to the list of requirements for next year it seems, along with knowing all the travel arrangements of those who enter

Well done to Dawn and Chrissie on a well run event, the raffle prizes as usual very good and imaginative.
Well to KT on his win and to Martin in the plate especially after his nightmare journey to get there.

So, the Bucks Open is over for another year, phew!
Thank you to everyone who came and supported our Open, travelling in some very challenging weather/road conditions.
Well done to Kevin for winning the 15th Bucks Open, to Martin for winning the Plate, Ian and Lee the losing finalists, and to all the semi and quarter finalists. Also, congratulations to Kevin on the highest break (17,500) and to Pauline on the highest ladies break (3,380).
The weather was against us this year, which did make it a bit of a tight squeeze in the room. Some of you may have met Mark Tubb, who is one of the owners of the golf club (and even entered, although Sandra gave him a bit of a bashing!). He is very keen to help us improve the open in any way he can, and made the suggestion that a couple of the tables could be set up in the end room, making more space in the main room – let us know your thoughts, or maybe its time for a change of venue?
Lastly, thank you to all the guys from Wycombe for helping unload/load the tables, Ernie for setting them up, Dave for delivering them, the table sponsors, the Golf Club for all their support, Cliffy & Dick for selling the raffle tickets, all the people who donated prizes, Pauline for folding the tickets (again – and booked for next year!), Nigel for doing the format (a thankless task!), and lastly Chris, AGAIN thank you so much, I couldn’t do it without you (PLEASE – next year :) x)
Hope to see you all again next year,
Dawn.

For me personally, the weather makes a difference as i missed playing golf this year! It is a nice venue but i think paying £2.60 for a coke and £3.70 for a pint of Fosters is a bit excessive!
